Life happens. That's why we've got your back. At ITS, we prioritize our clients' safety by implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on all devices. #MFA requires a second device, often your cell phone, to confirm your identity and ensure secure access to your computer. This #cybersecurity essential keeps your valuable information protected. And in those special cases where you've misplaced your second device or cell phone, our IT #helpdesk is always ready to assist.

Let's talk scams: Remote access scams often occur when you receive a call from someone pretending to be from an established company. The scammer may tell you there has been an issue detected on your computer or with your internet, or that you’ve been charged a subscription fee, then request remote access to solve the fake issue in order to gain access to your funds. Never give an unsolicited caller remote access to your computer, never give authorisation codes out over the phone, and never give personal, credit card or online account details over the phone. If you receive a cold call and remote access is requested, hang up straight away. A keylogger is a type of surveillance software or hardware that records keystrokes made on a keyboard. It can capture everything typed by a user, including passwords, personal messages, and other sensitive information. Keyloggers can be used legitimately by IT departments for troubleshooting or by parents monitoring children's computer use. However, they are more commonly associated with malicious intent, where cybercriminals use them to steal personal information. Prodigy InfoTech #ProdigyInfoTech #CyberSecurity

As you go out to celebrate this 4th of July weekend, keep the following #CyberSecurity advice in mind to stay safe and protect yourself from threat actors: be cautious of public phone charging stations and Wi-Fi networks, especially when accessing sensitive information or making online transactions. It's safer to use a secure, private network or a virtual private network (VPN) to help protect your data from potential threats. In addition, keep your Bluetooth turned off when in public places and never connect to a device that you are not 100% sure is not yours. #StayCyberSafe #happyIndependenceDay2024
