While thinking about Quality Assurance, the first thing that probably comes to your mind is testing, and the association is absolutely correct. However, there is so much more about #QA than just #testing. The role of QA Engineer is crucial in medical software development due to the unique nature of healthcare applications. QA ensures that the software meets specific requirements and standards. How do they do this? - In healthcare software, errors can have serious consequences. QA ensures that the software functions reliably and accurately, minimising the risks for patients. - QA also verifies if the patient data is secure and compliant with regulations to protect patient privacy according to GDPR. - QA processes involve detailed documentation and tracking. This is important for audits, meeting regulatory requirements, and keeping a complete record of the software development and testing journey. But that is not everything. Feel free to follow the link to see the description of the QA role, how it is different from a tester role and how do we do it in Revolve Healthcare. #medicalsoftware https://lnkd.in/dECtQKQD

I see a lot of discussion on here about testing, QA, peer review, CI techniques, etc. So I thought I'd share my foolproof method to catch every single possible issue before it could ever make it to production. 1) Create a "Demo" branch. 2) Instruct all members of the sales team that they *must* use the demo branch for all demos. 3) Because Murphy's Law is always 100% in effect on demos, sales team will catch all the bugs. Upsides: You don't need to write any tests or hire any QA staff. Downsides: High sales team turnover.

Why Companies Should Hire QA? The Importance of Quality Assurance for Successful Business In today’s technology-driven world, where software development becomes increasingly complex and competitive, the role of Quality Assurance (QA) becomes an integral part of the development process. In this article, we will explore why companies should seriously consider hiring QA professionals and how it can impact the success of their business. - Product Quality Assurance: QA specialists play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality software products. They test the product for compliance with functional requirements, identify and fix bugs, thereby providing users with a reliable and secure product. - User Satisfaction: A quality product is important for user satisfaction. QA helps identify and resolve issues before the product is released, which increases user trust and enhances their user experience. - Resource Savings: Inadequate attention to product quality can lead to significant financial losses. Fixing errors at later stages of development costs companies much more than preventing them at earlier stages. - Reputation Protection: A quality product contributes to maintaining the company’s reputation and strengthening its position in the market. Releasing a buggy product can negatively affect the company’s reputation and require significant efforts to regain user trust. - Accelerating Development Process: Involving QA specialists at the early stages of development helps identify and address issues faster, leading to a more efficient and smoother project execution. - Improved Customer Interaction: Quality control is also important for improving customer interaction. The work of the QA team allows for prompt responses to customer requests and feedback, taking into account their needs and expectations. - Compliance with Standards and Requirements: QA specialists ensure that the product complies with established standards and requirements, which is particularly important in regulated industries such as finance and healthcare. Hiring QA professionals is an investment in quality and business success. They ensure reliability, security, and high quality of the product, which are key factors for user satisfaction and the company’s success in the market. #QA #SoftwareQualityAssurance #SoftwareTesting
