The most important skill in life? Getting along with people. 🤝 In my five years of working, I’ve seen talented individuals struggle simply because they couldn’t connect with others. It’s not just in the workplace — think about family gatherings. The most liked people aren’t necessarily those with big titles or bank accounts; they’re the ones who laugh easily and make everyone feel valued. 🤍 If you want to grow, focus on your people skills as much as your professional ones. Learn to communicate with different kinds of people, balance logic with empathy, and take feedback seriously — not personally. Being good with people can accelerate your career because it shows you’re level-headed and approachable. Want to improve your life? Start with your people skills. ✨ Treat others as you’d like to be treated and watch the difference it makes. Agree? Drop your thoughts in the comments. ☺️ #PeopleSkills #CareerGrowth #Leadership

Empathy: The Secret to Career Growth "Empathy isn't just about understanding others; it's about truly seeing the world through their eyes. Often, we approach our bosses with self-serving requests. But what if we flipped the script? By asking, "How can I alleviate your burdens? How can I contribute to our team's success?" we shift the focus from personal gain to collective achievement. Remember, a paycheck covers bills, but it doesn't build a legacy. To truly thrive, become indispensable. Be the teammate who lifts others up. When you elevate the team, you elevate yourself. Let's shift our mindset from taking to giving. After all, the more you give, the more you receive. #leadership #empathy #teamwork #careergrowth #professionaldevelopment"

Sometimes when you are going through a period of change, you need a little 'pick me up' that keeps you moving along the path. Mine just came in this wonderful recommendation from my friend and colleague Rob Davidson - these are words I'd never say about myself and if I'm honest, I still struggle to believe them. Feedback can help you to see what you have achieved, and where you could go next. That's why peer-to-peer feedback can be so useful for career development - for many of us, it's very hard to think about your own skills and achievements, and it's almost impossible to know how people perceive you at work. So if you feel like you are stuck at work, or need some motivation to make a change then I'd encourage you to seek out feedback from your peers. And find your cheerleaders. They just might shine a light on something that you hadn't noticed yourself. #change #careerdevelopment #feedback

Career & Leadership Coaching (ICF ACC): Supporting individuals in the workplace to THRIVE in their careers. ☑ More Career Fulfilment ☑ Greater Confidence ☑ Bigger Impact & results
3 ways to support a team member who is struggling with their confidence 🎉 1. Celebrate their wins Big ones, little ones, the ones along the way to the bigger stuff – all of them! Get them into the habit of celebrating all the good stuff 💪 2. Help them see their strengths And be very specific with this feedback - What did they do well? - What impact did it have? - How can they leverage this strength further? The more tangible & granular you are with strengths-based feedback, the more actionable it is for them It’s so easy to dismiss the quick ‘well done’ It’s impossible to do the same with this level of feedback 💃 3. Encourage them to stretch out of their comfort zone If there’s a particular area where they feel unconfident Like presenting to a big audience perhaps Don’t push them wildly out of their comfort zone & assume they’ll work it out Instead give incremental opportunities to build their capability & confidence Confidence doesn’t build when we’re about to wet ourselves with fear! It comes when we can see that we can do hard things What confidence-building tips would you add? #careers #confidence #professionalwomen

Self-awareness is a skill and should be something that we are all taught. Because, without self-awareness, your work performance will never reach its full potential. Here are four signs you may be lacking self-awareness: 1. You struggle to stay consistently engaged and motivated at work. 2. You frequently experience anger and frustration over seemingly minor issues. 3. You have difficulty managing feedback, often feeling compelled to change yourself based on others' opinions, leading to a lack of direction. 4. Despite following all the “right rules” for a career, something feels missing, and you lack a clear career vision. If you’re experiencing any of these signs, please reach out. Self-awareness can be developed quickly, and you'll be surprised at how focused, clear, and excited about work you can become when you are more self-aware. #SelfAwareness #CareerGoals #UnlockPotential #SomethingIsMissing #CareerWellness #PeakPerformance #ZoneofGenius #LovingWork #Leadership

Good morning to all and to all a great morning 😊 ! The other day I was chatting to a workmate about the importance of having the best relationship we can with those we work with, as most of us spend "more awake" time with our workmates than with our loved ones, which brings me to another important thing which can lead to good relationships at the work place positive attitude, it isn't just a "nice-to-have"—it's the cornerstone of professional success. It shapes our interactions, fuels our resilience, and sets the tone for our entire team. 2moCouldn't agree more, Talha! To me, being called "approachable" feels like a huge compliment as it makes me pause and think about the impact that we directly/indirectly have on our friends, family, and colleagues- both senior and junior. Interpersonal skills are definitely as important as technical skills, if not more.
