🔥 Brief for application development: templates for automation and startups 🔥 You can find many generic questionnaires for website development online. These often include questions about whether you need an “About Us” page, if you’ll be showcasing a portfolio, or if you need an “Our Team” section, and so on. Potential clients visiting your site expect to find information about the company’s experience, its products and services, and to read reviews. Website owners create content that meets these expectations. In developing a custom product, things aren’t so straightforward. The program being created might have no direct equivalents, and there are no “expected” requests. Or, it may have equivalents, but a multitude of nearly identical programs won’t attract users, meaning the service needs a unique “hook.” The client might know what that is right away, or they may still be figuring it out and expect the development team to help them define it. However, there are still common questions, the answers to which will help developers better understand the task and its specifics. This also enables a more accurate assessment of the effort required. 👉 In a new article, we’ve compiled such questions that are important for creating a custom solution. You can find links to the briefs (separately for business automation and startups) at the end of the article: https://lnkd.in/dKM3kakU #brief #automation #startup #softwaredevelopment #appdevelopment #mobileappdevelopment

My most powerfull prompt so far: I've just developed a powerful and structured prompt that's designed to spark groundbreaking ideas for software startups. This prompt is a game-changer for anyone in the industry looking to create simple, impactful, and market-ready products. 🔍 Structured Prompt for Idea Generation: Input Your Requirements: 1. Industry/Field: [Input Your Industry/Field] 2. Specific Task/Niche: [Input Your Specific Task or Niche] 3. Target Audience/Focus Group: [Input Your Target Audience or Focus Group] Generate a Product Idea that fits into the following criteria: - It's a very simple and clean tool that solves a very complex problem. - It is focused on one specific task or a niche of tasks. - It's built for a specific focus group. - It is easy to build and can get the first version out into the market within a week. - It is really fun to use (fun means that it brings the expected results quickly and without much effort, and that there is a wow effect when using it). - It can be used on a daily basis and people will revisit and use it all the time. - It can be easily integrated into the existing workflow of the user. This can be achieved either by being a plugin, a tool with integrations, or a solution that works completely standalone. - The idea should not rely on building a marketplace. Focus on direct utility to the user. Based on the input information, develop a product or service idea with the following structure: 1. Concept: - Provide a brief overview of the product/service. - Explain how it solves a specific problem in the given industry or field. 2. Key Features: - List and describe key features that make this product/service unique and effective. - Remember here that we need simple but effective features that are easy to build and solve big problems. - Explain how these features address the needs of the target audience. 3. Target Focus Group: - Define who will benefit most from this product/service. 4. Development and Market Launch: - Outline a feasible plan for developing and launching a basic version of this product/service quickly. 5. Fun and Engaging Aspect: - Describe elements that make this product/service enjoyable and create a 'wow' experience for users. 6. Daily Usage and Retention: - Explain how this product/service will become a part of the user's daily routine and ensure high retention. 💡 This prompt is incredibly close to the process I use myself to conceive high-potential software ideas. It's structured to ensure that the ideas are not only innovative but also practical and market-ready. ✨ I'm excited to see the creative ideas that this prompt will inspire in the entrepreneurial community. Feel free to use it, and let's innovate together! #Innovation #StartupIdeas #SoftwareDevelopment #Entrepreneurship #TechCommunity

Are you looking for a way to roll out new app features smoothly or test variations without needing to redeploy? Look no further than Optimizely Feature Flags. 🚩 But what are Feature Flags? 🔍 Feature Flags are a powerful software development technique that allows you to toggle the features of your app on or off in real-time, with no extra code deployment needed. Basically, it gives you the ability to adapt and refine your app’s functionality at the drop of a hat. Sounds great, so how do I use them? 🔧 Implementing feature flags is as easy as adding a few extra code snippets which decide the on/off status of features based on settings, environment variables, or external management tools. This setup allows your teams to easily manage feature releases from a single control centre and make necessary changes on the fly without the downtime of a full redeploy. Let’s break it down and show you why you should implement Feature Flags. ⬇ ➡ Strategic Rollouts: Optimizely’s Feature Flags give you a structured approach to deploying new updates, minimising risks and enhancing user experience with gradual feature introductions. ➡A/B Testing for Dummies: Feature Flags make it simpler to test different versions of a feature to see which your users love more. It’s all backed up by live data, and you can then optimise for what is working best. ➡Targeted Experiences: Optimizely Feature Flags also allow you to tailor your app’s features to specific audience segments for more personalised user journeys. Which members of your team will benefit? 🎯 ➡Developers: They’re going to love launching new features with the confidence of a safety net. That means more creativity and more feature experiments, all with a more streamlined deployment process. ➡Product Managers: Will enjoy the data-driven decision-making that controlled feature introductions and A/B testing capabilities bring. ➡QA Teams: Will like a more comprehensive testing approach to new features using a real-world environment before committing to a full deployment. Operations Teams: Will take pleasure in simply pressing the off button in case of issues with a faulty feature minimising any user impact. So, Optimizely’s Feature Flags are useful tools that your teams are going to enjoy using. It makes your software development faster, more flexible, and less risky. Ready to implement them but don’t know how? Get in touch, and our Optimizely gurus can help you set everything up. 💪🏻 #noaignite #optimizely #featureflags

𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 💡 In the realm of product development, it’s essential to shift our focus from mere outputs to the tangible impact they create. “Outcomes over Output,” here’s a fresh perspective: ✅𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐬: These are the features and capabilities we develop, anticipating they will drive desired outcomes. ✅𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬: The actual changes in user behavior that we aim to achieve through our outputs. ✅𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭: The ultimate value delivered back to the organization, be it through increased revenue or reduced costs. As product teams, our accountability lies in fostering specific user behaviors—those incremental actions that we believe will culminate in substantial organizational value. However, while impact is the end goal, it often lags behind. Therefore, focusing on outcomes provides a more immediate and actionable framework for ongoing management and assessment of our product strategies. At Cogtix, we embody this outcomes-focused approach in our work.
