🌟 The History and Significance of Labor Day 🌟 As we observe Labor Day, it’s essential to remember that this day represents much more than just a long weekend. It’s a tribute to the strength, resilience, and enduring contributions of the American workforce. A Look Back: Labor Day was first celebrated on September 5, 1882, in New York City, organized by the Central Labor Union. It was a powerful demonstration—a day for workers to unite, advocate for their rights, and celebrate their hard-earned victories. This movement quickly gained momentum, and by 1894, Labor Day was recognized as a national holiday. Why It Matters Today: Labor Day is a reminder of the progress made through collective action and the relentless pursuit of fair working conditions. From the 8-hour workday to the weekend, many benefits we enjoy today were won through the determined efforts of labor movements across the country. A Day to Reflect: As we enjoy this well-deserved break, let’s take a moment to honor the legacy of Labor Day. Let’s remember those who paved the way for the rights we have today and consider how we can continue to advocate for positive change in our workplaces. Happy Labor Day! Let’s continue to strive for progress, celebrate the power of the American workforce, and look ahead to the future with determination and optimism. #LaborDay #AmericanWorkforce #Leadership #Progress #WorkplaceCulture #History

Why is Labor Day not celebrated on May 1st in the U.S.A. ? Running a business in the U.S.A, while my customers are in the Caribbean, can sometimes lead to some confusion. Labor Day in the U.S, celebrated on the first Monday in September, is one of those days. Every year, I still get questions about why we are closed for business. So, in order to explain why the U.S. is different, I prepared a short blog post to explain why. Please click on the link or the image to understand why the Labor Day celebration is different in the U.S. https://lnkd.in/eu7km9rN

Well, Labor Day is here. The days are getting shorter, and the nights, cooler. As the latter bookend to summer, it's the long weekend when we try to sneak in one last family picnic, take one last trip "up north," or finish up those lingering tasks on a too-long "honey-do" summer list. The Boys of Summer are winding down the baseball season, and the Men of the Gridiron are taking the field. We’re setting our DVRs for the new fall shows we think we'll like and yelling back at the TV, "Yes! We're ready for some football!" But amidst all that, it's also important that we remember why we celebrate Labor Day and the important people it represents. Labor Day was created in 1882 to pay tribute to the social and economic achievements of American workers. Peter McGuire, an Irish-American immigrant and cabinet maker, is considered the father of Labor Day. He proposed, "Let us have a festive day during which a parade through the streets of the city would permit public tribute to American industry." President Grover Cleveland later designated the first Monday in September as Labor Day. Today, more than 150 million people make up the American workforce, fueling the largest economy in the world. American labor, efficiency, and creativity are challenged every day by up-and-coming labor forces around the globe. At #CTS, we believe we are up for that challenge. We take great pride in the products we design and produce at CTS and are proud of the people who work here. Every one of us works hard, works smart, and builds a product we are proud to personally deliver to our customers. So today, we'd like to thank everyone on our team and recognize the quality of everyone’s labor—and what we accomplish together every day. To our tenured staff, a tip of the hat for creating cutting-edge designs, superior quality, and outstanding service unlike anything in our market; and to our new staff members, herein lies the challenge—to learn and grow, build, sell, and deliver the next generation of the best products out there. As team members at CTS, we are the best kiosk company in the industry. As Americans, we are the best workers in the world. Today is a good day to stop and remember that, and to thank each other for getting us here.
