🤔Beyond the Surface: Is Conventional Success Really What We Seek? 🤔 When I was young, I was completely invested and eager to learn about Information Technologies. I was fascinated by how computers work, what software does, and how the internet connects various devices. My dream since secondary school was to become a software engineer, which I saw as the pinnacle of conventional success. However, my academic path took unexpected turns, and I eventually graduated with a degree in Social Sciences and Humanities. Through this journey, I was exposed to and learned a great deal about communities, discovering a passion I never knew I had. But it wont stop me there which I took an elective course from Faculty of Computer Science & Information Technology just for myself adding my skills😁 This made me realize that my life goals aren't the same as everyone else's. Conventional success, like becoming a software engineer, isn't necessarily what brings true fulfillment. For me, it was the unexpected path that revealed my true passions and led me to a deeper understanding of what I really seek in life.😊 Ps: This is the one of my memories during STPM. It is supposedly an individual tasks to do coding but we work together 😂 #lifejourney

🌟 Embracing Algorithms! 🌟 As a computer science student and software engineering intern at HP, I’m deeply immersed in the world of algorithms. From optimizing code to solving complex problems, algorithms are at the core of my daily work. 🚀 Recent Projects: Lately, I’ve been working on projects where using variations of Depth-First Search (DFS) and Breadth-First Search (BFS) has been essential. It’s amazing how these algorithms can boost both reliability and performance in our applications. 📚 Continuous Learning: Currently exploring "Introduction to Algorithms" by Cormen, Leiserson, Rivest, and Stein, a fantastic resource for both theory and practical application. I’m going to be 100% honest: Getting a 4-year Computer Science degree is really just paying a lot of money for a fancy piece of paper. Granted, it’s an important piece of paper, but not for the right reasons. The wrong reason: Many tech companies use it to unfairly discriminate, requiring it for engineering hires. This is the reality. The right reason: What you learn during college should make you a great engineer. Unfortunately, that's often not the case. I went to a Top Computer Science school, and 90% of what I learned was useless. Most of my skills as a junior engineer? Self-taught. Academia is great for many things, but preparing you for an industry as innovative and fast-paced as software isn’t one of them. Whether you have a degree or not, you need to learn essential tech skills that aren’t taught in school. With companies firing aggressively in this market, it's more important than ever. P.S.
