Everyone has heard coffee myths before, but not all of them hold true. Which one of these myths is actually true? 🤔 Have you ever pondered the validity behind the myths surrounding coffee? Last week, we put your knowledge to the test with a quiz, and now it's time for the reveal! ❌ Coffee dehydrates the body - Despite the widespread belief, coffee doesn't dehydrate us. While it may have a temporary diuretic effect, it doesn't rob our bodies of water as commonly thought. The water served with coffee is to enhance taste, not to compensate for dehydration. ❌ Coffee boosts fat burning - Coffee's alleged ability to boost metabolism and aid fat burning is largely overstated. The concentrations of compounds like chlorogenic acid are too low in coffee to have a significant impact on fat burning. ❌ Espresso has more caffeine than coffee - Contrary to popular belief, espresso doesn't contain more caffeine than regular coffee when considering the serving size. While it may have more caffeine per ounce, the smaller serving size means it contains less caffeine overall. ✅ Coffee enhances performance - Coffee does indeed enhance both physical and mental performance. It's a proven aid for concentration, attention, and mood improvement. This coffee myth is true! Did you guess correctly? So, apparently, the decaffeinated coffee market is skyrocketing, and I'm over here wondering if my taste buds missed the memo. I mean, 1.6 billion USD in 2024? That's a whole lot of beans without the buzz! 📈☕ First off, health awareness is steering this ship. People are opting for decaf to dodge insomnia and anxiety. It was a wise move, considering the chaotic world we live in. Maybe there's more to life than a caffeine-fueled adrenaline rush—who would've thought? 😌 And can we talk about the taste? Decaf has come a long way, reaching taste levels indistinguishable from regular coffee. If that's the case, I've been sipping on some serious coffee impostors. Convenience seems to be a key player here. For those who want the taste without the jitters, decaf is the hero of choice. Now, let's talk about challenges. Higher price point? Limited availability? Competition from other caffeinated wonders? Decaf, you're starting to sound like the high-maintenance diva of the coffee world. 💸☕ In conclusion, the decaffeinated coffee market is not just a trend; it's a phenomenon. Health-conscious sippers, taste enthusiasts, and those seeking a late-night brew are all aboard the decaf train. As for me, I'll be over here sipping on my anxiety, one espresso shot at a time! ☕😅 #CaffeineConfessions #DecafDrama #DecafInsights #BrewingChange

In the world of that dark golden brew 🇨🇦🇺🇸🇬🇧🦺What is the 2 hour coffee rule? 🗣Rule 1: Never do back to back coffees It's the first rule of coffee drinking, and possibly for any stimulant. There should be 2 hours from when you start your first coffee and start the next coffee. Oh sure, you can break this rule, but you will pay. And sooner than you think. FDA has cited 400 milligrams a day—that's about four or five cups of coffee—as an amount not generally associated with dangerous, negative effects. However, there is wide variation in both how sensitive people are to the effects of caffeine and how fast they metabolize it (break it down). Coffee's golden ratio is 1:18 (1 gram of coffee to every 18 grams of water). If you want a stronger cup, use a ratio of 1:15 or if you want a lighter cup, use 1:18. But somewhere between 15 to 18 grams of water to every gram of coffee is most common.

Ever wondered why that first sip of coffee feels like a magical energy boost? Let's break down the science behind your caffeine cravings. The Buzz Breakdown: Caffeine, a natural stimulant found in coffee, tea, and chocolate, works its magic by blocking a neurotransmitter called adenosine. Adenosine builds up in your brain throughout the day, making you feel tired. Caffeine swoops in and takes adenosine's place, preventing that sleepy feeling and giving you a temporary energy boost. The Caffeine Crash: The caffeine high doesn't last forever. As the effects wear off, your body starts producing extra adenosine, leading to that dreaded energy slump and groggy feeling. That's why some coffee drinkers experience a mid-afternoon crash. Personalize Your Caffeine Fix: Everyone reacts differently to caffeine. Some people feel energized after one cup, while others need a double shot to get going. It all comes down to your metabolism, body weight, and sensitivity. Roast Your Own Adventure: With our state-of-the-art coffee roasters, you can experiment with different roast levels and bean varieties to discover your perfect caffeine-flavor balance. Take control of your caffeine intake and create a personalized coffee experience tailored to your unique needs. For more info please visit: www.ekoroast.com
