Mechanical Engineering and Psychology at Northwestern | New Product Development Intern at ITW Medical
And that wraps up my internship with ITW Medical! 🎉 What an incredible summer this has been. Here are some key takeaways from my experience in the MedTech industry: 💡 Always Ask "Why?": Don’t just follow instructions – understand the reasoning behind every task and decision. Knowing the purpose not only improves the quality of your work but also maximises your learning. 🔬 Master Your Products: Develop an in-depth understanding of your products, including their science, technical details, and functionality. This is crucial for making informed decisions and communicating effectively. 🗣️ Tailor Your Communication: Understand your audience. Know when to focus on the bigger picture and when to delve into specifics to ensure your message is clear and impactful. 🛠️ Design for Manufacturability: A great design is only valuable if it can be produced and distributed to those who need it. 📐 Precision in CAD: Be meticulous with CAD models and drawings. In the MedTech industry, even minor errors can have serious consequences. ✅ Never Compromise on Quality: Quality must never be sacrificed for cost, speed, or convenience. Patient safety is always the top priority. Thank you for all the support this past summer, I am so proud to have been a part of this team. Special thanks to Vaishnavi Tallapally, Mani Balasubramanian and Monju Chowdhury for being outstanding mentors!

🚀 Dream big, start small, and move steadily. Success is a journey marked by incremental progress, with each deliberate step bringing you closer to your grand vision. 🌟 Today's reflection ties perfectly into our discussion about the final step of the pre-call analysis in the pharmaceutical industry. During my internship with Parkville and the psychological selling skills course led by Dr. Mina Magdy, we’ve delved into identifying the call type and gathering insights about the physician. Now, as we move forward, consider this: Do you set distinct goals for each call or adopt a one-size-fits-all approach? 🤔 Let me introduce you to the SMART objectives framework—a proven technique for setting clear and achievable goals. Here's a quick rundown: 1. Specific: Define who, what, where, when, why, and which. 2. Measurable: Establish criteria to track progress and success. 3. Achievable: Ensure the goal is realistic and attainable. 4. Relevant: Align the goal with broader objectives and ensure its significance. 5. Time-bound: Set a deadline to create urgency and prioritize tasks. ⏳ In our next post, we'll explore the Call Objective Matrix to learn how to tailor our objectives and classify customers based on selling strategies. Stay tuned! 🔍📈 #SummerLearningSummaries #PharmaceuticalSales #SMARTGoals #ProfessionalGrowth #ParkvilleInternship #PsychologicalSelling #CareerDevelopment #SalesStrategy

Hello connections, This is my first project I have done during internship at Feynn Labs Consultancy Services. In this project, I divided the process into two phases. Firstly, cataract presence is detected using logistic regression on SIFT + GLCM features. Next, utilizing transfer learning with SqueezeNet, classify cataract severity into normal, mild, or severe categories. Our user-friendly interface facilitates easy image input and provides real-time result interpretation. Additionally, the recommendation system suggests nearby hospitals or clinics for further evaluation and treatment, ensuring timely access to quality healthcare. Through iterative refinement and user feedback, the aim is to enhance healthcare decision-making and improve patient experiences. Thanks for the support from Sanjay Basumatary.
