Employability professionals - this one is for you. 👇 We hope you can join The Institute of Employability Professionals on 18th March for this introduction to the Quality Improvement Framework for Employability. #employability #qualityassurance #qualityimprovement
Chief Executive Officer Mesma. Talks about leading change in education & employability /SaaS & advisory solutions/ Governor / Board Advisor/ Non-Exec. Founder Quality Professionals Awards: FE and Employability
Something good came from our time stuck at home during Covid and it was this. Working with a group of brilliant people from across the employment support sector, we created a Quality Improvement Framework for Employability. It is a research and practice informed model outlining what it takes to design and deliver good provision. I can't be at the launch webinar sadly but if you work in employability, I'd recommend going along to hear from Scott Parkin FIEP David I. Helen Ammash Cheryl Collins. The partnership between The Institute of Employability Professionals Mesma The Good Employability Company, supported by Fedcap will continue, with plans in place to help providers use the framework in practice to drive quality. An additional thanks to colleagues at The Growth Company for their help mapping the framework to ISO and Matrix Roger Chapman. Sally Forsyth will be there to tell you about the follow-up event to show you how you can use the framework as part of the Mesma platform too.

CITB has launched its Business Plan 2024‐25 which sets out three priorities designed to support the industry to recruit and train the workforce it needs now and in the future: 🔖https://lnkd.in/erYTZWJG 1⃣ Inform and enable diverse and skilled people into construction by increasing direct support for employers to recruit and retain the people they need and providing careers information to a wider range of potential new entrants. 2⃣ Develop a training and skills system to meet current and future needs by establishing an industry‐owned definition of competence and identifying alternative entry routes. 3⃣ Support the industry to train and develop its workforce by investing in the existing workforce and making sure that training provision works for industry, with a particular focus on improving the accessibility of training SMEs. CITB will measure its performance in delivering the Business Plan against three key measures: 📈15% increase in new entrants 📊14% increase in employers supported to train and upskill their workforce 📑13% increase in individuals supported to train and upskill.

A great article in CareerWise by Ceric states: “Since the launch of the Skills for Success (SFS) model in 2021, there has been a shift in the approaches & priorities in training & skills development. The SFS model promises to better support workers, employers & practitioners as they navigate shifts.” Much of our work at LLSC involves #SkillsForSuccess. “With an estimated 50% of the Canadian workforce needing upskilling or reskilling by 2025, the Skills for Success model can alleviate many challenges faced by both workers and career practitioners.” Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/djcceEMc and contact us at literacy@llsc.on.ca for more information on what we do. We can help!

We’ll be the first to admit the road to B Corp is an exciting, progressive, but sometimes long and tricky one. But, fuelled by the urge of wanting to do better, there’s a few lessons we’ve picked up along the way 👇 > Anyone wanting to certify needs to complete a B Impact Assessment, scoring at least 80 points across 5 categories: Community, Customers, Environment, Governance and Workers. > Diversity & Inclusion is one of the most important themes - How does your business score against attracting, recruiting and retaining a diverse team? Are you representing a wide customer base? > You’ll need to re-certify every 3 years, providing the opportunity to continually evolve how business is conducted and how everyone works together. > Take the time to check your criteria (trust us, this one is based on personal experience!). Review the full scope before getting stuck in to ensure you’re on the right path. 👉 Keen to know more? Our A-Z guide to certification can be devoured over a coffee here - https://bit.ly/49HWFN1 B Lab UK B Lab #Kontor #BCorp #EnvironmentalImpact #BCorpCertified
