Those who were alive and kidnapped on 7th of October became the most important priority on October 8th...as their immediate release would have changed everything. What a pity that pro-Hamas, anti-Israel, Pro-Palestinans (just names but for the hostages amounting to the same thing) rejoiced at October 7th or blamed Israel for every problem under the sun but never once demanded that Hamas release the hostages. What a pity that anti-Semites or anti-cognitive reasoning-ites (as they say they are not anti-Semites so let's believe them for argument's sake) in their ludicrous frenzy to destroy Israel, instead of being human and demanding the release of a couple of hundred innocent hostages, only managed to invite a war that has caused so much suffering...and that puts the entire Middle East at risk. Worse, even if those same warped people really thought in their little brains that Israel was genocidal, then what idiot would give them 240 reasons to come to their house. What irresponsible buffoon would keep hostages knowing that Israel will never give them up? And if the gamble was that Israel would not try to get their people back, then these cowards gambled with the lives of innocent Gazans. Many are professionals. I hope they don't gamble with your money or investments the same way. And yet there are still perverted people who want to leave Hamas in charge and they don't even bother to call for the rapists and murderers and organizers of October 7th to be handed over. Go figure. What an utter waste of innocent Israeli and Gazan lives courtesy of Hamas, Iran and the pro-Boneheads who could have prevented so many innocent Gazan deaths if they just said: BRING THEM HOME NOW

Our New Year’s resolutions are but magnified versions of this ancient taking on and giving up. The understanding has always been that firstly we have to give away something precious; something we previously thought was fundamental: then in this giving away we come to ground in our possibilities again, possibilities that were previously hidden by our too complicated view of what needed to be done, and who we needed to be in order to do it. Join me for Three Sundays in January to look at the phenomenon of giving up in order to go on; of finding new promises by letting go of old ones, and remembering those vows that seemed to have been made on our behalf at our birth. The New Year is a time for preparing in our mind to get out on the road again, though we know that road must be taken in ways we never understood before. These three sessions are a way of packing and preparing for that journey from the inside out, ready for the perils and possibilities this new year might bring. DW P.S.
