Note - these are not my photographs The first picture in this is an AI created picture of what this couple thought their baby would look like. Please take a close look at the baby's hands, as there is only 3 fingers. AI is far from perfect when it comes to creating portraits of people. I would not advice anyone to use it for headshots or any other portrait that they wish to share or keep as a memory. Yes, I do use AI to perfect my portraits as it is a wondeful tool to soften fine lines or get rid of the "addition to the chin" that happens when taking the subject from 3 D to 2 D. Having said that, AI should be used judiciously. I always go over each portrait and hand edit it so that my clients get the high quality portraits that they deserve. Can you differentiate between a genuine and a forced smile? Visually it's easy to differentiate, when there is a genuine smile, the lower line of the eyes becomes straight, the cheekbone lines become defined and the smile on both sides of the lips becomes pointed. Emotionally a smiling face will bring a smile and make you feel comfortable. I had these two photos taken recently on two different occasions. Despite having similar lighting both the images have striking differences.
