Meow! 🐈 This cat-filled montage showcases some of my favourite animations from our Educational Needs mini-series! We crafted 10 x 50-second episodes tailored for primary school children aged 5-7. Our aim was to educate them on their cats' needs and behaviours, empowering them to care for their own pets at home. Visually our goal was to make the films feel like children’s picture books come to life! Bold and playful with bright colours and charming characters. Teaming up with Cats Protection, we collaborated on scripts, developed animatics, created the style and illustrations, and brought it all to life through animation. I definitely enjoyed animating Felix (the blue cat) being annoyed with Rosie and giving her 'the stink eye' the most! It's time for one of Christmas' biggest questions: is Die Hard a Christmas movie? There is no limit to the subjects visual thinking can cover. It might be a new training process, an abstract idea, or even a Christmas movie. That's why, in an attempt to make our minds up about Die Hard, we used visual thinking to map out and explore this crucial Christmas question, bringing together the information into one clear big picture. Whatever the subject or style, our animations guide viewers through this big picture, showing the connections and the fine details through relatable illustrations, creative visual thinking and engaging animation.
