Always a treat to get Neil Burns' take on surfactant innovation (check out his Surfactants Monthly blog). Here at NYSCC 2024 Suppliers Days he highlights two (3 including my pal Perry) entities dear to my heart: SCT and Cedar Concepts. I've done millions of dollars indirect business with Cedar over the years in my hometown Chicago as they are the subcontractors who prill and flake solid state fatty alcohols & stearate esters for many companies you have heard of. SCT are kindred Southern spirits with 3V Sigma USA who took the dry mass surfactant idea to the next level. #surfactantchemistry #personalcareinnovation #formulationsolutions

🔎Are you a diamond connoisseur who can spot a fake at a glance? Distinguishing real diamonds vs. fakes, just like pure exosomes vs. imitations can be deceiving. 🙄 If you are like most of society, you want and need to see the diamonds Certificate of Appraisal - Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat. After all, quality and purity is not always evident with the naked eye ... but the Certificate of Appraisal ensures the integrity of your purchase. 🤩 The same verification also holds true for exosomes. Choose authenticity for your skin. Just as real diamonds hold true value, opt for pure exosomes over imitations. The RESILIÉLLE COSMETICS LLC Certificate of Conformity verifies - Safety and Quality Testing, Characterization and Quantification in the Nanosight Tracking Analysis, Confirmation of MSC Identity, and Initial Pathogen Testing Results. 🛑 If you are looking at a label of an exosome product with your naked eye and it says "stem cell conditioned media", "lyophilized exosomes", "TGFβ", "exosome particulates" or any derivative term of exosome with a trade mark, you can be sure you don't have intact, pure exosomes. 💎 Don't get faked by the imposters. Let your skin sparkle with the genuine radiance only real Resilielle exosomes can provide. #exosomes #rejuvenation #quality #certificateofconformity #plasticsurgeons #dermatologists #mespas #functionalwellness
There is a pivotal point in every industry where a product gains such traction and value that profiteers inevitably enter with counterfeit products. To ensure consumer protection, every industry eventually implements a test or a certificate of authenticity. We understand that exosomes are new and potentially confusing to the world right now. 4-Methylbenzylidene camphor (4-MBC), commonly used as a UV filter in sunscreens, was reevaluated by the SCCS, highlighting significant safety concerns and later prohibited under the Regulation (EU) 2024/996. 4-MBC can affect the thyroid and estrogen systems, studies have been unable to confirm the safety of 4-MBC at the maximum allowed concentrations due to insufficient data on its genotoxicity and a reduced safety margin. The 3rd of April 2024 Commission Regulation (EU) 2024/996 was published, and 4-Methylbenzylidene camphor (4-MBC) was removed from the UV filters list. From 1st of May 2025 products containing that substance shall not be placed on the Union market, and from 1st May 2026 cosmetic products containing that substance shall not be made available on the Union market. #CosmeticSafety #CosmeticCompliance #Suncare #UVFilters #Regulatory
4-Methylbenzylidene camphor (4-MBC), commonly used as a UV filter in sunscreens, was reevaluated by the SCCS, highlighting significant safety concerns. The new opinion addresses its properties as a potential endocrine disruptor and its genotoxic potential, which has led to questions about its safe use in concentrations up to 4% properties. Evidence suggests that 4-MBC can affect the thyroid and estrogen systems, studies have been unable to confirm the safety of 4-MBC at the maximum allowed concentrations due to insufficient data on its genotoxicity and a reduced safety margin. The 3rd of April 2024 Commission Regulation (EU) 2024/996 was published, amending Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the use of certain substances with potential endocrine disrupting properties in cosmetic products, aka, 4-Methylbenzylidene camphor (4-MBC). From 1st of May 2025 products containing that substance shall not be placed on the Union market, and from 1st May 2026 cosmetic products containing that substance shall not be made available on the Union market. This regulation directly affects manufacturers who will need to review and reformulate products containing 4-MBC to comply with the new safety and consumer protection standards. At Cosmeservice, we are prepared to guide our clients through these regulatory changes, offering support in identifying safe alternatives and adapting to the new regulations. For detailed inquiries on how these changes might impact your products, please contact us.
