Recently, mega-companies have found themselves in a predicament of reputational risk while managing globally recognised celebrities. The most recent investigation into the Adidas-Kanye West fallout in October 2022 proves that the crisis is real and demands action. The investigation reveals that the German footwear company tolerated years of bad behaviour and anti-Semitism from West when other sponsors severed links with him. CEO Bjørn Gulden's statement about the fallout only a week before the New York Times investigation was released exacerbated the crisis. In an interview with the Norwegian Podcast, he commented: "Very unfortunate because I don't think he meant what he said, and I don't think he's a bad person – it just came across that way.
