J O Hambro Capital Management’s Post

We were delighted to welcome 13 students from local schools to J O Hambro last week as part of our Jasmine Kenny Work Experience programme. These talented students were found through Investment20/20, an initiative that connects young people with opportunities in the investment management industry. It was an enriching experience for everyone involved. These students gained valuable insights into the world of capital markets, while we at JOHCM were interested to learn about the students' concerns and aspirations. Throughout the week, they had the opportunity to meet with our experienced Fund Managers, Marketing Team, Distribution Team, amongst many others. The students engaged in a variety of insightful talks, including how to perfect a CV and how to prepare for an interview. The week concluded with the students showcasing their presentations on "How Will Consumer Preferences Shape Sustainability?" It's always inspiring to see the enthusiasm and fresh perspectives that young minds bring. We hope this experience has sparked their interest in the financial industry and look forward to seeing their future accomplishments. Thank you to everyone who made this week a success, and to Investment 20/20 for their support in finding these promising students for our Jasmine Kenny Work Experience programme! #JOHCM #Investment20/20

We hosted a wonderful group of young women  as part of our Jasmine Kenny Work Experience programme. They were provided with a glimpse into how investment management works and hopefully we will have inspired a few of them to contemplate a future career in the industry; it is crying out for more female talent. It was not all listening to us, as we set them a project to tell us what they thought about how sustainability considerations will shape consumer preferences; after all, they are the future! The four work streams provided thoughtful and well articulated presentations that belied their age. Well done on helping shape our thoughts and best wishes to all of you as you embark of the next stage of lives.
