So Rick Hawthorne School at the moment it's the project is 7 half thousand square metres of floor area of existing schools. We've undertaken the asbestos removal which was licensed and non licensed, the soft strip and the demolition of the school to make way for the new premises. As we've seen on site today coming through the single story, um, asbestos removal still ongoing as well. Anticipated completion date is mid-december. The 1st milestone is the completion of the soft strip and asbestos removal. So during the soft strip we remove all the timber, carpets, vinyls and everything as much as possible to make it hard structure ready for demolition. Basically because the school was built in 1970s. Is very typical of an asbestos building. So we we are limited on the soft strip that we can actually do. So we take it back so far then TMS who's a licensed contractor will come in and take over from us. The building that was demolished as a class building which is known to contain asbestos and the survey at the start of the project identified a vast expanse, however during the early stages this was found to be just touching the surface. Asbestos is a word that scares many people, however the nature in which we remove it ensures it's controlled and everyone outside the enclosures are safe, whilst the people inside the enclosures absolute will control measures in place. To ensure maximum productivity this project was split into zone 1 and 2, so whilst we would demolish in zone one, zone 2 has been soft stripped with asbestos removal all safely segregated. Always try and maximise our recycling percentages through segregation of waste. On this project, with a steel frame building and concrete external wall panels, we've achieved a recycling percentage of over 99%. So the segregation of materials through the soft strip phase and and as it goes in the demolition aims just get through the highest recycling percentage we can. So Estonia is all being salvaged and this will go to our salvage expert, the Stonewall be cropped ready, go into new builds and yeah, just again demonstrating how we we use materials as as a priority rather than recycling. We use our 40 metre dust cannon which sprays water into the atmosphere, controlling any airborne dust and bringing it down to the ground as quickly as possible. Silicon dust in the atmosphere can be harmful to the respiratory system, so the control of it using water is an industry standard that we use and ensure the safety of everyone involved in the project. There's a lot of buildings now which are using slate roof or have a slate roof that may have leaks, damages, etcetera. The reason we're trying to reclaim so much of that is because there's a shortage of tiles out there, old slate tiles that are in good condition. So the more that we can salvage from this with the G to our team, the better. Really working with G2 has been really good. The team I've been really approachable. We've had some challenges just with logistics program and a little bit around some find some additional asbestos, but they've approached it really professionally. So far so good. So a lot of that is going to be coming into your. Basically because this polystyrene and it's going to be blowing around the site this weekend. Do you have to take into consideration the material as out there as well? Richard is our supervisor on this project. Richard has been with us for 6 1/2 years now, joining us a demolition Libra. We've supported Richard and developed him and he's developed himself into becoming one of our lead supervisors in delivering the larger schemes for GTR Demolition. He's the one that makes sure everyone is fed. On Friday, he has his full setup. He's basically a mobile cafe, just cooking. Full English with the boys, build their morale up but and we go wagons in today. So if I do have breakfast today, you're only gonna be here for half hour and then I'm back to work and we got the both for breakfast as well today. His first one he actually had an invite after six years. So we've taken all the walls down inside now from when you was last year. This is easier than for Aaron when he comes through with the machine to cut, cut the steels. And the building will drop. There's no walls there. Everything is stacked in your now so he can come through and start putting it out into the right piles. We always joke that the information that we have, sometimes we're lucky to get a post code on this project. The surprise was a basement structure and the one of the school buildings that nobody, even the school staff knew about. So luckily without any pre construction information to show the basement, we did manage to locate it just through chance and the basement slab cover was removed safely using the excavator. The pressures of this scheme have been restricted access to the site so when we carted away demolition. Our core bringing skips in, we don't have a full working shift. We only have probably 60% of the day where we can actually move wagons in and out. So the support of our supply chain is paramount on this project has been absolutely fantastic. Yeah, Ryan's all on time and just going to get these rolling all day. Now look at 2025 wagons out today, which will put us in a good place then to wrap this job up early about the next week. The biggest challenge of this project has always been. Productivity and during the course of the works, the additional aspects, I've put a lot of pressure on the program. But we're happy to say at the end of the project we delivered it three weeks inside the target program which was set by our client. When you build a business you have to surround yourself by good people and AG to our demolition, I believe we have the best people in the industry and most importantly we've got a happy team where everyone works together.

Why is our technology so unique? These 20 tonne concrete pillars, removed from Brisbane's Eagle Street Pier, are polystyrene filled. Typically, that would mean they would not be suitable for recycling, resulting in the pillars going straight to landfill. With Rino's technology we were able to crush the concrete, remove the polystyrene using our best-in-class density separators and then recycle the concrete into aggregates to be used on other civil construction projects. Project Case Study! Excited to share the successful removal of a pedestrian bridge spanning Flats, marking a significant milestone in the area's major regeneration works. 🏗️🌆 Extensive design and planning alongside the Local Authority ensured smooth logistics every step of the way. Here's a glimpse into our efficient process: 📅 Day 1: Prepared equipment, Sealed off pedestrian access to bridge using in-house fabricated steel, took delivery of plant and set up welfare facilities to ensure a seamless operation the following day. 📅 Day 2: With precision timing, we closed the road at 7 am, installed the road surface protection, swiftly maneuvered the crane into position, and carefully cut and lifted the central bridge section. The bridge was swiftly transported and processed off-site for recycling. Following this the edge sections were lifted down and transported off site for processing. Site clearance completed. 📅 Day 3: An early start ensured the final cleanup, including plywood removal and barrier dismantling. Remarkably, we reopened the road promptly at 7 am, staying within our 24-hour limit and ensuring minimal disruption to the community. In Summer 2021, DSM Demolition Limited started the systemic demolition of 23 storey Goscote House as part of a £5 million demolition programme. Built in the 1970s, this landmark building was Leicester’s tallest residential building, but was declared unsound and unfit for modern housing back in 2018, when the flats were vacated. The building was pulled down carefully floor by floor, because of the closeness of the neighbouring homes and businesses. It was a long process, with each floor being swept and made clean prior to demolition in order to prevent the release of airborne waste particles. The demolition was completed in 2023, and the whole process was captured by our time-lapse #cameras.
