Day Pitney’s Commitment to its Culture – 2024 Partners’ Retreat In the embrace of Lake George's calm, Day Pitney’s partners gathered, a collective balm, To celebrate the magic, as though from a wand, Of the firm’s enduring culture, an unbreakable bond. Beneath the pines, we shared our dreams, With a former Justice, unraveling themes, Of diversity, equity, and inclusion’s might, A commitment toward trying to make things right. A probing, qualitative analytical approach The Justice, now our partner, did artfully broach Topics that challenged us to think, while planting a seed That would sprout solutions rather than simply acknowledge a need.   Then came the neuroscientist’s gaze, On loyalty’s fabric, its intricate ways, Of trust and bonds, how they intertwine, In the neural dance, our paths align, toward the end of client satisfaction. A symphony of ideas issued from the panel Of Millenials, Gen Xers and Boomers assembled To compare how we learn, what we prize and our expectations The differences bridged through candid communications. As hiking trails beckoned, and golf clubs swung, Extreme pickleball claimed a partner’s left arm. Dinners with loved ones, punctuated with tributes, To longtime, selfless partners and what each contributes. So here's to the bonds that Lake George spun, To the partnerships forged, the battles won. I wax poetic for what it means to me To be part of the team at Day Pitney. [Don’t fear that I will reprise this effort as the last time the poetic muse moved me was for my college applications!]

Five years ago, I stepped into a role I’d been preparing for my whole life, even without knowing it. I took the reins of McCrae Partnership, stepping into a business my father founded in 2003. Built on his guiding principle that all change starts with understanding the people and a business at its core, I’ve been on my own journey to honor that legacy while shaping a vision for our future. The truth is... It’s been five years since: We signed our first client, Bruce’s Doggy Day Care, and I found myself in a field with 200+ dogs, fully immersed in their world. That moment was a reminder that to create real impact, you have to understand every angle of a business up-close. 2020 brought the challenges of COVID-19. Like everyone, we had to adapt fast, find new ways to support clients, and learn to roll with the unknown. I welcomed my second child in 2021 and learned the art of balancing a growing business with a growing family. Newborn nights and client deadlines became a whole new kind of juggle. In 2022, I lost my father, the founder of McCrae Partnership, and my source of solidarity and inspiration. Navigating that loss meant learning to slow down, set boundaries, and prioritise differently. In 2023, I learned the importance of stepping back. Realising it’s okay to be still sometimes. Pausing helped me refocus on the bigger picture. And now, in 2024, we’re moving forward with clarity – re-evaluating our business, doubling down on our values, and laying foundations for the future. Growth, exploration, and meaningful partnerships are the focus. Looking back, I’m grateful for the journey so far and proud of the work we’ve done, like: ✔️ Doubling MSP Capital Ltd’s turnover in two years ✔️ Repositioning BESMOKE as a market leader ✔️ Rebranding vaultX for a successful global retail launch … to name a few. I can confidently say that if a business isn’t growing, my team and I can enter it, discover the blocker, and partner with the business to solve it in a way that leads to growth. These five years have been a whirlwind of discovery.
