I don’t usually post personal things on LinkedIn, but today, as I celebrate Canada Day, I find myself reflecting on this incredible country’s past, present, and future, as well as my family’s place in it. Not many people know this, but I was not born in Canada. My parents immigrated to Canada when I was young, and I watched them make countless sacrifices and work long hours in odd jobs just to get our family by. They did this because they believed in the Canadian dream. I am a living embodiment of that dream. The level of social mobility I have experienced within my relatively short lifetime would have been impossible anywhere else. Regardless of whether someone immigrated 20 years ago or 200, the dream has always been the same. For millions of people, both in-country and abroad, Canada is a beacon of hope—hope for a just and free society, and hope that no matter who you are and where you come from, a better future is possible. I recognize that Canada is not perfect. Like many countries, it has a complex history full of injustice and tragedy. However, we, as a society, have recognized these mistakes and are actively working to do better. Canada has made tremendous progress, and that is the true hallmark of any great nation. I love Canada, but I am also concerned for its future. The freedom and democracy we often take for granted were hard-fought and, if not protected, can easily be lost. The Canadian dream is becoming increasingly out of reach. The values and unity that made this country great are slowly eroding. Nevertheless, like my parents, and generations of Canadians before them, I have hope that a better future is possible. With that, I would like to wish my network a joyful Canada Day and a happy birthday to the greatest country in the world!

What happened is the obviously #erroneous allowing of #immigrationtocanada from #terrorist #supporting #countries and #regions that is ruining #Canada as it is ruining #France and other #European countries. THIS is what real "#replacement" means, not the false narrative of "#whites" being replaced, but the #complete and #utter elimination of #Western #Culture and #values with a hate-filled culture that supports #terrorism and #atrocities not found in the #West. #immigrationnews #immigrationcanada #immigrationreform #immigrationpolicy #immigrationmatters #immigration #Middleeast #Arab #Palestinian #Syria #Iraq #Iran #Lebanon #Jordan #Egypt #Yemen #SaudiArabia #UnitedArabEmirates #Qatar #Libya

I've been asked ALOT if I've been keeping safe in Jordan, in light of the Gaza/Israel conflict. Quite simply, the answer is YES! Unfortunately, people see the Middle East as one unit. The perception is if one country in the Middle East has a problem that all Middle East countries are unsafe….when that is farthest from the truth. It's all about perception. For example, the ongoing war in Ukraine has not impacted Ukraine's neighbours, including Romania, Latavia, Estonia and Lithuania, unlike what is happening with countries in the Middle East. The war in Ukraine has been going on for the past three or more years but neighbouring countries are not affected. For instance, Hungary, a border country to Ukraine, was not affected. The conflict has had devestating economic repercussions for Jordan. Tourism has pretty much come to a stand still. Thousands and thousands of people working in the tourism sector are out of work .....from tour operators, drivers, and guides, to hotel staff, restaurants, and souvenier shops. And this has a trickle down effect because if these people are out of work, they are not spending money which effects every single business in Jordan. The "good" news is if you have ever thought to visit Jordan, right now is the perfect time. Tour operators are offering rock-bottom prices! #jordan #jordanissafe #adventuretravel #toursinjordan

This is deeper than Israel. The anti-Israel riots taking place in Europe, Britain, and America are more than protests about what's going on thousands of miles away to people they never met. It's about haves and have nots. The white's, who are the "in" class, and the nonwhites who are on the out. The rich, who are the "in" class, and the 99% of people struggling who are on the out. The comfortable, and those who have to worry about how they will make their next bill. The Jews are seen as the comfortable, rich, white class. They are seen as the elite of the elite who don't have a care in the world --- while the earth is collapsing for everyone else. All of the ills we face today: rising cost of living that many of us can't meet, a super-wealthy class that nobody can break into, new rules set by the politicians that make hard-work and honesty a crime instead of a blessing -- It feels like we are helpless to rise above the tidal wave of darkness engulfing the world. So we need someone to blame. As always, the world chooses the usual suspects. Hating Israel isn't about "justice," there is no justice in siding with rapists and murderers. Hating Israel is about venting your anger at the corner of the world you occupy and blaming the most visible target. From London to Libson to Long Beach . . . this is pure antisemitism. The danger for the rest of the world is that antisemitism reaches full pitch when a society is on the verge of collapse. These riots are less about the end of Israel, and more about the end of the societies where they are taking place.

Canada Day is a national holiday celebrating the country's independence from Great Britain in 1867. The new nation, still loyal to Great Britain, was called the Dominion of Canada and consisted of only four provinces ((Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario, and Quebec). Now, there are 10 provinces and 3 territories. Thought I would share some fun facts. • Canada is the second-largest country in the world. • One of the longest highways in the world is in Canada. • Churchill, Manitoba, is the "Polar Bear Capital of the World." • Canada crosses six time zones. • Canada has the longest coastline of any country. • Canada is the world's largest producer of maple syrup. • Canadian national sports are Lacrosse and Hockey • The name "Canada" has indigenous roots. It comes from the word kanata, meaning "village" or "settlement • The beaver is Canada's national animal. Canada is rich in wildlife like grizzly bears, moose, cougars, elk & black bears • The telephone & basketball was invented in Canada. Wishing you all a Happy Canada day from Anjuna Airlines Solutions.

If this guy ever had to go out and purchase groceries, he might consider all the farmers harvesting the food in his cart, that have to pay carbon tax to grow and harvest our food. Then the trucking companies that deliver the food must buy gas with a carbon tax associated with each item increasing their costs. Canadian consumer's cost of a trip to the grocery store has more than doubled in the last three years. Then everyone in this country needs to heat their homes it hurts common Canadians every day. Why don't we eliminate carbon pricing it is not reducing worldwide emissions it only reduces Canadian emissions. Focus on research and development inside our Canadian Energy companies to find alternative energies and deliver the cleanest possible energy to the world. That will do more for the environment, the people of this great country, and the world. Canada needs more clean Canadian oil and gas. Every company that I deal with daily is concerned about the well-being of their employees and about the well-being of our world's environment! Trudeau you just don't get it, (it is not about a sweet UN posting into your retirement) what you are doing is harming everyone in this country and not helping the Environment. Get rid of him.
The difference is clear: while Pierre Poilievre wants to take Canada backward, we’ll keep Canada moving forward – for everyone.

There are lots of things I appreciate about life in the place we call Canada 🍁: > I am grateful that I live in a country where I can love whom I chose to love. > I am grateful that I live in a country where I can make a post like this without fear of prosecution. > I am grateful that I live in a country with a charter of rights and freedoms that are upheld by a (mostly) non-partisan legal system. > I am grateful that I live in a country where I was taught to think critically and have these important conversations. > I am grateful that I live in a country where basic healthcare is still universal, though I fear we are heading in a direction where that will no longer be the case. There are things worth celebrating. However, there are several reasons I wont be celebrating Canada Day. Here are some of them: 1. Canada is stolen land. As much as we talk about truth and reconciliation, we haven’t come anywhere close to acknowledging the truth of this and the lasting impact of historical and ongoing colonization on Indigenous nations. Celebrating a national identity that only exists as a product of stolen land is incongruent with efforts to acknowledge this truth. 2. Canadian values are an unrealized ideal. We have done an excellent job of portraying ourselves as an inclusive, peace keeping, social welfare promoting, progressive nation. Ideals we have historically failed to live up to. Ideals we are currently not living up to. These ideals are more often weaponized as part of anti-immigrant exclusionary rhetoric than they are enacted into our domestic and foreign policy. 3. Nationalism is a dangerous sentiment. While it could be used to invoke sentiments of collective care, it is more often used to dehumanize and dissociate from the suffering of those deemed as “others,” “foreign,” or “alien”. Nationalism is often called upon to justify the hoarding of resources, imperial expansionism and muted responses to global crises. We need to cautiously approach any celebration of national identity as potentially advancing this problematic ideology that obscures our shared humanity. 4. As Canadians we have been poor stewards of this land. Canada Day celebrations are often emblematic of this. Why celebrate the land we call home by producing air and land pollution on a mass scale 🎆? Why not celebrate our home by calling on regulatory changes to the mining, oil and gas industries including a nationwide ban on fracking. 5. This year I’m also aware of our federal government’s failure to acknowledge and appropriately respond to the violence in Palestine, Sudan, Congo, Afghanistan, Haiti and Nigeria. Canada’s ongoing failure to boldly promote peace in these regions, using all the tools available to us, is our collective embarrassment and shame. So whether you choose to celebrate Canada Day or not, let’s all collectively work to be better. To call on our leaders to do better. To create a collective identity that just might be worthy of celebration.
