I'm excited to announce our latest publication in Supportive Care in Cancer titled “Quality of life in patients with malignant spinal cord compression: a systematic review”. This work sheds light on the complex Quality of Life (QoL) issues faced by patients with MSCC, an often-overlooked aspect of oncology care. 📑🎉 We've identified critical gaps in existing QoL assessment tools, highlighting the need for more comprehensive measures that encapsulate both the direct and indirect symptoms of MSCC, including psychological aspects which are often under-reported. Our study emphasizes the importance of integrating patient-reported outcomes in clinical practice to enhance care quality for these patients. 🌟🧐 As an oncologist, I believe that understanding and addressing these issues is crucial for providing comprehensive care to our patients. This research is a significant step forward in improving the quality of life for individuals dealing with MSCC. 👨⚕️👩⚕️🔍 Read more about our findings and recommendations here: https://lnkd.in/gqRg9uAv #Oncology #PatientCare #QualityOfLife" I want to express my gratitude to the EORTC Quality-of-life group for their support and collaboration in making this publication possible. 🙏🤝 #OncologyResearch #QualityOfLife #MSCC #EORTC #SupportiveCareInCancer #MedicalResearch #AcademicPublication 📊🔬👨🔬👩🔬

Shockingly, half of cancer patients are unaware of their diagnosis stage, highlighting a crucial information gap among oncology patients. In this Medscape article Dr. Sivendran admits, "Patients may have a hard time synthesizing all the information we give them." Now, can you imagine the challenge patients face when they start treatment? Ensuring patients clearly understand their treatment journey will give them the best chance to stay on track. Zealic Health recognizes the need for a patient-centric approach, meeting patients where they are by delivering personalized patient engagement. Transform your brand's patient engagement by turning information into empowerment for a more informed and confident treatment journey. #PatientEngagement #OncologyCare #EmpowerPatients Source: https://lnkd.in/efh7Eq9S
