Happy U.S Air Force Day! Since its inception in 1947, the Air Force has played a vital role in defending our nation and its skies. As we honor the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve in this branch of military, we should also recognize their families and loved ones who sacrifice so much in support of their service. One of our Fire investigators, Dana Mason, worked in the USAF for 28 successful years and retired working as a Chief Master Sergeant. (USAF Fire Chief) Thank you Dana for your service!

#ICYMI During a recent conference, I highlighted the importance of leaders being transparent and sharing their experiences of overcoming adversity with their subordinates. By doing so, we can work together to enhance the strategic thinking and tactical skills of our military personnel. We need change
I really enjoyed this documentary film by Aaron Gunn and the conversation with Lt.-Gen. (retd.) Michel Maisonneuve, who spent 35 years in the Canadian Armed Forces and 10 more as academic director of Royal Military College Saint-Jean. It is an absolute shame what this Liberal government has done to our military and to our veterans. #veterans #veteransupport

Standards for the military must always be high. Standards for military must prepare every soldier for war. Standards for the military must show how to win and more importantly how to stay alive. Standards for the military clearly demonstrates the military is not for everyone. Standards for the military exemplify why military individuals are elite and la creme de la creme. A salute, to the US Army, US Marines, US Navy, US Air Force, US Coast Guard, US Space Force and all National Guard, National Air Guard and Active Reserve units.

As we reflect on the history of our armed forces, it’s important to recognize the pivotal role Hispanics have played in defending our nation. As of 2021, 1.2 million Hispanics were serving or had served in the U.S. military, making up 16% of active-duty personnel. Hispanics have served in every major conflict since the Revolutionary War. Today, Hispanics make up 24% of Marine Corps active-duty personnel and 19% of the Army. By 2060, it’s projected that Hispanics will make up 31% of the U.S. military. Partners in PROMISE would like to recognize Silver Star Service Banner Day on May 1st. Silver Star Service Banner Day is for Americans to recognize and remember service members who have been wounded in combat, are sick, and who are dying. According to the U.S. Department of Defense, the Silver Star Medal is the third-highest medal a member of the Armed Forces can receive for gallant action during combat. The U.S. Army normally awards the distinguished medal as the "Silver Star," while the Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard award the medal as the "Silver Star Medal." All branches of the military give the award as a result of action against an enemy of the U.S. during the conflict over a short period, normally one or two days. How can you recognize Silver Star Service Banner Day: 1. Attend a local veteran organization or military base event honoring Silver Star personnel and families. 2. Display your Silver Star Service Banner outside your home or business. 3. Volunteer to help at a local event honoring Silver Star recipients. 4. Show gratitude and thank all service members for their contributions to our nation. #SilverStarServiceBannerDay #MilitaryFamilies
