Good insight about interview processes. I have worked with companies who do a quick two stage and then are ready to make an offer. A two stage process with the hiring manager, then hiring manager with HR. Fast, efficient and a pro-active process. On the flip side of that, I have worked with companies who would insist on a seven (yes, seven!) stage process and then be surprised when candidates would rarely get to the final stage as they have been snapped up by another organisation or have got fed up with such a long drawn out process.
