Interesting thing about these polls: “Rosenberg: What happened in 2022 is that in the battleground states, the Republicans flooded the field with polls that were usually 2-4 points more Republican than the independent polls. They ended up pushing the polling averages to the right. RCP had Republicans with 54 Senate seats. Some of those same polling outfits that haven’t done public polling for the last two years have returned. Wick, Insider Advantage, Trafalgar, and Patriot Polling started producing polls in the battleground states, showing their results 2-4 points more Republican than all the other polling. So, it’s literally the exact same thing. The reason it matters is it demobilizes. When we think we’re losing, we demobilize. Our voters disengage, and money dries up. The same is true for them. They want to give Trump and Republican voters the belief that the election is closer than it really is. The second thing is if Trump tries to cheat and overturn the election results, he needs data showing he was somehow winning..” https://lnkd.in/eyZxvZww

ICYMI **The Georgia State Election Board recently voted 3-2 to require counties to hand-count ballots cast on Election Day.** This decision could significantly slow down the tallying process in a key battleground state. The measure mandates poll workers to manually count ballots at the end of Election Day. This move aligns with board members aligned with former President Donald Trump but opposed by state Democrats, as well as the Republican Secretary of State and Attorney General. Despite legal concerns from senior officials, including warnings from Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger about potential "chaos" and challenges to election integrity, the board proceeded with the decision. While some argue it will increase trust in election results, others worry about delays, errors, and increased costs for counties. As the 2024 election approaches, this change highlights the ongoing debate about election processes and their impact on voter confidence. #thenewswhisperer #NewsUpdate #News #newsfeed #politics #ballots #ElectionDay #handcount #GeorgiaStateElectionBoard

IF TRUMP LOSES IN NOVEMBER, WILL THERE BE AN AMERICA IN DECEMBER? The question seems absurd; after all, the geographic country of America existed before there was an American government and will exist after there is no American government. But America is far more than a geographic entity. For the world it is a beacon of freedom and democracy; for Americans, it is a land of freedom and democracy. But will it be a land of freedom and democracy in December if Trump loses in November? Why the question? Begin with the Trump campaign. Does Trump's campaign look like it cares about the November results? Why campaign in New York when you have no chance of winning the state? Why not devote your time and resources to a must-win state like Pennsylvania? The answer, I fear, is that Republicans do not think the election results matter. Republicans intend to take power even if they lose election. What we saw on January 6, 2021 may pale in comparison to the Republican plans for a coup d'état on January 6, 2025 should they lose at the ballot box in November. The Trump campaign has a laissez faire approach that is worrisome because the message it gives is that November 5 doesn't matter. If the election results don't matter come November 6, then there will be no America come December. The solution to the problem is to vote and for the voting to overwhelmingly favor Democrats. This election may well be America's last election should Republicans prevail or come close to prevailing when the votes of American citizens and of the Electoral College are counted. https://lnkd.in/gzJmxPd2

As promised, some thoughts about working my first election the past three weeks (yes, the period lasts this long!) 1. A lot of people focus on election day, the poll workers, and what they see when they vote. That is entirely reasonable, and having worked a polling location, I can attest to the fact that they do amazing work. What a lot of people don't end up seeing is that, for us at the central location, even more work happens right after those polls close. Processing Election Day results, continuing to tabulate ballots, and every other little bit all happen within the week after election night - sometimes later! 2. Even less people focus on the recount. They require a lot of work to be done over a pretty short period of time to ensure that the count was 100% correct. Maricopa County does an outstanding job of ensuring that it is done right *on election day*, but when state law mandates a recount, we are right there to do it! 3. The phrase "democracy is messy" is only true if you watch the news and get consumed by political controversies. It feels messy when you're looking at the candidates, the polls, the debates, the pundits, etc. The actual process of democracy is actually quite orderly, and every election department across the country takes accuracy and procedure very seriously. We are approaching Election Day, and I hope that when you fill out your ballot, either through the mail or in-person, that you'll take into consideration the vast operation that occurs in counties, big and small, to ensure your vote counts!

Best advice for democrat voting US citizens: STOP VOTING DEMOCRAT. Maybe 80 percent of US problems could end if elected democrats and leftwing minded people within the US did not exist. HOWEVER such (ie 80 percent of US problems issues) will continue IF democrat voters don't wise up and therefore not CHANGE their voting ways or patterns. BOTTOM LINE: Democrat voters are the biggest voting problem and therefore all of these need to CHANGE how they vote

Out of the 34 Senate seats up for election this year, 20 are held by Democrats and three by Independents. In this election cycle, Democrats have twice as many seats to defend, and Republicans need a net gain of only two seats to regain control of the Senate.

Governorships: Republicans hold 26, Democrats hold 24. U.S. Congress: Republicans have 222 seats, Democrats have 213. Senate: Each party has 50 seats, with Democrats controlling the Senate through the Vice President’s tie-breaking vote. State Legislatures: Republicans control both chambers in 30 states, Democrats in 17 states. State Offices: Republicans generally hold more statewide offices, including positions like attorney general and secretary of state, particularly in states where they control the legislature. These figures vary with elections and can reflect the dynamic political landscape:

Working to strengthen the community through secure and transparent elections. Master’s candidate in Public Administration.
Rumor at one of my children’s college is that they are deciding if they should preemptively cancel classes the day AFTER the election. It may be a rumor, but I bet not. I think, for my election peers, that probably tightens the already growing knot in your stomach. For those of you not in elections, this means they arent proposing this to make voting more accessible or ensure lower traffic around polls on Election Day. They would be closing because they expect trouble during the time when a local election office is re-confirming numbers and working towards certification. If people are storming the streets- there’s really only one destination they will end up at. This particular town has already had angry mobs in the last year, so it is likely not just a rumor. Now, in reality, they probably won’t close- or at least won’t plan to close. The statistic in this link about how many people plan to leave elections after 2024- this is why! When I was put in a very real and very dangerous situation, it was the days after the election. A neighboring county official was essentially stalked by a losing campaign’s officials for months afterward. Absolutely secure the Election Day, but please make sure that safety plans include the days, weeks, and (hopefully not) months after the election. And if you see your local election official out and about- give them a smile, please?

As tomorrow's March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election approaches, voters of Rancho Cordova are gearing up to make their voices heard. For those who prefer to cast their ballot in person or drop off securely, voters can find several convenient options for both ballot drop boxes and vote centers throughout the city. Located inside Rancho Cordova City Hall will serve as one of three designated ballot drop box locations for the upcoming election. The ballot drop box will remain open through Election Day, Tuesday March 5, during regular business hours. Additionally, two other drop box locations are available within the city: ☑️ BurgerIM, 4040 Sunrise Boulevard, Suite 100, Rancho Cordova ☑️ KP International Market, 10971 Olson Drive, Rancho Cordova These ballot drop boxes provide accessible and secure means for voters to submit their ballots ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, March 5. This allows voters to conveniently drop off their ballots. However, it's essential to note that voted ballots dropped off into a ballot drop box must be dropped off no later than the close of polls at 8:00p.m. on Election Day, March 5, 2024 to ensure they are counted.
