Fascinating case study showcasing the remarkable impact of incentivisation and clear demonstration of its effectiveness.
💬 Stories 💬 Ever thought about the difference between stories and stories that *stick*?! For me, this story sits strongly in the camp of the Sticky 🥢 A story that sticks is one I don’t have to spend hours thinking about framing; it doesn’t need much introduction; it’s not overly complicated; it’s easy to remember. These two charts tick those boxes! One of our customers at Swansea University shared these recently on the back of a webinar he kindly participated in on behalf of EMEA | McGraw Hill. The first pie represents engagement with his module in the first year of using our Connect platform where, crucially, he allocated marks to his students using it and completing both readings and assignments. In the second year, he made the decision to reverse that and let his students decide whether to use it or not. For me, these two graphs tell a story (a Sticky one) on the power of incentivisation on engagement. If you’d like to read the whole piece, it’s here: https://lnkd.in/eWXebKU8

If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self as you launched post-college, what would it be? I’m pulling together a resource guide for my junior and senior advisees and would love for it to be based on wide-ranging, collective wisdom.
