I am not suggesting that my strategy works or not. I would never really. Certainly not in a way that would make it seem as if I can begin to train people on LinkedIn strategy. Never. I am not that presumptuous. I have no ambitions along that line either. I just want to be of utmost and relevant value to those who would let me in return for some income so that I can earn a living with some dignity as a human being needs to, to feel some sense of self-worth. That's all. I don't want to shine. I don't want to be a star. I just want to be useful in a way that aligns and aids the success of a business or, a connection of mine anywhere in the world. About my strategy, one of the things that I do is, I seek men and women who have those values, principles and interests that mine align with and, who are not in a hurry, are compassionate, thoughtful, giving within the limit of their means and, not money necessarily but, of their kindness. I have deep regard for Ed Samuel. Whenever he's going to speak on career management and advancement, sharing hints, strategies and tips, I make sure that I get to listen because every time he does, I learn quite a lot and, a lot of people have told me the same. However, as for me, I always leave, feeling more knowledgeable, more hopeful of the future because I have been laid off twice in my life now so far and, I know the pure hell that my kids and I went through both times. Umpteenth post today from another hiring manager cry arsing about how candidates aren't applying in the "right" way 🤦♂️ 1. Check your privilege. It could be you on the job market but for the grace of god. 2. It's normally from companies that aren't offering good pay, products, or growth. It's very "no one wants to work", "okay, boomer" territory. People do want to work but if you're offering a worse job than others, expect a worse quality of applicant. Capitalism for the win 3. You're basically complaining about having to recruit. It's a hard job, it's why it's a billion dollar industry and why you could save yourself some pain by paying a professional to do it. Don't paint your own house and come moaning about it when it looks cack and was harder than you thought. Rant over. PS - got some jobs in Atlanta.
