When we founded 𝐅𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐥, our mission was clear - to empower women to transform the oil and gas industry from the inside out. We wanted to create a tight-knit community of female leaders who could support one another, have crucial conversations, and challenge the status quo. Three years ago, we launched our first Pursuing Greatness event - a day dedicated to celebrating women who refuse to conform to outdated traditions or male-dominated mindsets. It was a smash success, but more importantly, it sparked a movement. Attendees left feeling energized, driven, and connected. They returned to their jobs ready to advocate for other women, determined to amplify female voices at decision-making tables. The ripple effect was real. Policies started to change at some of our attendees’ companies. New female mentoring initiatives launched. Talented women got promoted into influential roles. The Pursuing Greatness wave was transforming our industry right before our eyes. This is why we host this event year after year. One day is not enough to overhaul long-standing systems and culture. We need to harness that momentum and continue nudging our entire industry forward. The Pursuing Greatness movement is far from over - there is still work to be done. So join us this 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 5𝐭𝐡 as we drive even more positive change in 2024! Become part of our circle of forward-thinking leaders. Help write the next chapter of the oil and gas industry, where women are CEOs, executives, site managers, and valued technical experts. Let’s elevate each other and create lasting impact. The time for transformation is now! - Jamie Elrod - Massiel Diez #womeninenergy #womeninleadership #womeninstem

Today, on International Women's Day, we shine a spotlight on one of our inspirational leaders, Mona Smith. As our dedicated Environmental and Sustainability Manager, Mona embodies the spirit of progress and innovation in both logistics and environmental stewardship. In the spirit of today's celebration, Mona shared a powerful poem that resonates deeply with our values and mission: "Don't let perfectionism stand in the way of progress. Imperfect action is one of the most productive things you can do. Perfection happens through the many iterations of refinement. It's easy to focus on the details when they are right in front of you." This message is a powerful reminder of the importance of forward motion and continuous improvement, principles that guide us in our work every day. Mona's leadership and commitment to sustainability inspire us to embrace the journey of progress, acknowledging that the path to perfection is paved with the steps we take today, however imperfect they may be. Let's celebrate the women who lead, inspire, and push us towards a better future. Happy International Women's Day! #InternationalWomensDay #Sustainability #Leadership #EnvironmentalStewardship #UtahInlandPortAuthority

There’s a big gap in women’s industry groups showcasing technical expertise. Why is it that every women’s conference, panel, etc., is either about being a woman or climbing the ladder by “knowing your worth”? Nothing is more degrading than placing a group of women on a panel focused solely on being women in the industry. You know what I’d love to see? Four badass women discussing highly technical topics. I want to get together with women who talk about fixing a problem with technology, not about how to climb the latter by being bold and courageous. It takes technical expertise to get to leadership positions, let’s talk about that.
