These were listed for FREE on Marketplace yesterday and, when I went to grab them, the gentleman saw my decal and asked if I was in aviation. We all know where it went from there! 🤣 He took an early out from American and his wife flies for them too! They were both former military, flying at American when 9/11 turned the world upside down, and have been through everything else since. With that said, he recognized the industry has completely changed course. There is nothing more invigorating than sharing Raven, 21.Five - The Show for Professional Pilots, and whatever else might help those navigating the industry. He has time to pursue another airline, if he'd like, and his son has a ton of free resources at his fingertips should he commit to aviation. Of course, I recommended a paid 30 minute coaching call with Raven before making any million dollar decisions. Time is money and seniority is everything. I don't know where the pictures will go and my VERY patient husband will probably hate them, but I believe paths cross for a reason. I came home so energized!!! Occasionally thinking I'm bored, I asked my husband what I should do next career-wise. His words were everything! "Why can't you just keep doing what you're doing? Keep being you?" 😆 Isn't he the best? I don't know how to keep my mouth shut when we start talking about aviation/airlines and potentially guiding someone a little closer to their dream job. I know very little in the grand scheme of it all, but am confident the professionals I've worked with are experts that can help anyone land their dream job. Invest in yourself and await that return! It will pay for itself! If you're not happy doing what you're doing, figure out what you're doing wrong. #aviation #airlines #abstract #networking

A phrase we all live by nowadays is, “If you see something, say something.” What happens when the things you see wrong are in your own industry and organization? It might be harder to speak up, and to have your voice heard, but that shouldn’t stop you from saying your piece. That’s why I’m attending the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA picket at IAD right now, in support of my fellow United Airlines crew. It’s true that being a #FlightAttendant comes with unique perks, but they will never replace being treated fairly. Compensation, rest periods, sufficiently staffed and trained crew schedulers, reserve pool numbers, operational meltdowns… These are all among the concerns that are overdue to be addressed, and #EnoughIsEnough. Please use your position as an industry leader to set the bar for how airlines should be run and crew should be treated. Last week I went to see the the Foo Fighters at Emirates Old Trafford, Lancashire Cricket Club and I'll let you try and count the references made. It was also a week working with the team, and discussing with Aviation Industry Experts about challenges in the background check process, and one by one we're on to the next week where I can finally start saying something is coming, and its going to be something special. I've done a lot of research over the past couple of years into aviation screening as part of my role, and it feels like the outsourced screening industry is outdated and everlonging for a change. Recruitment teams are always trying to Come Alive under the February Stars in preparation for Easter, But are left unable to Breakout of the limitations of the screening time. The cycle is always the same, and something needs doing different to fix this Low in the Run-up to summer.
