The average job tenure in the U.S. is 3.9 years per job in 2024, according to BLS.
In 2022, it was 4.1 years per job.
In 2020, it was 4.1 years per job.
In 2018, it was 4.2 years per job.
My best guess is that number will continue to reduce with mass layoffs becoming more and more common.
Before you reject someone for being a "job hopper", take a look at the statistics to understand that times are changing.
Sure, would be great to see every applicant working at each of their roles for 5+ years with continuous linear growth at each company, but that's not reality anymore.
