🌟 Join the impactful "No One Rides Alone" Project 🚗 Become a part of this powerful initiative raising awareness about the impact of suicide and providing crucial support to those affected. By transforming cars into visual tributes covered with names of loved ones lost to suicide, we honor their memory and show solidarity to surviving family members. Your contribution can make a significant difference by reminding individuals battling suicidal thoughts that they are not alone and help is available. Your loved one's name will be prominently displayed on exhibition cars, serving as a lasting tribute, and included in a book/binder showcased at events. For military families, names will be displayed in gold vinyl on the burnout car Lt Dan. Civilian names will be showcased in pearl white vinyl on the drift car "Roudy 19". A $50.00 tax-deductible donation will not only honor your loved one but also support the mission of "Normalizing The Conversation Of Suicide". The funds raised will normalize conversations around suicide, provide resources for those struggling, and offer support to impacted families. By participating, you'll contribute to essential services, mental health counseling, veteran benefit assistance, job placement support, and more. Let's unite to prevent suicide and provide crucial support. Together, we can make a difference! 🌟🚗 #EndSuicide #SupportMentalHealth #Drifting4Life https://lnkd.in/gzC-sveJ

ASK THE TEAM! As you are all aware the team are currently having connectivity issues due to their position… there is 2 satellites to connect to, one in the East and one in the West - both of which appear too far in distance to get a connection. 🛰️ However, the ProjO’s are still in comms through the Sat Phone - this also gives the team the opportunity to speak with loved ones back home 🥰 Latest update is that they have all now lost their music 😟 buuuut are filling the void with team quizzes - although… not too sure what the topics could be 🤔… They’ve also seen a humpback whale 🐳 and Flying fish reach the deck of Sentinel each day! Morale is good as they continue to advance through their epic journey, hands not so much 🤢 as they continue to pull voraciously on those oars! 🚣 If you have any questions for the team, please comment below and we’ll be sure to get you the answers! This morning, I’ve been pondering on a few different events that have occurred this past week and one has stood out to me as life lesson. Yesterday, I was with some of our photographers creating some Making Waves Benefit (https://lnkd.in/gepNA4rB) teaser videos and some b-roll shots of The Summerhouse Farms (see below). Near the end of our shoot, I needed to take some drone footage of the property using a new drone. I had spent a bit of time setting up the drone and practicing flying it and during that time there was a sense of excitement for our Making Waves Benefit. As I was taking flight for a 3rd or 4th time, the drone started to drift off course for an unknown reason, so I set it not move while in mid-flight. I thought the drifting problem was solved after messing with the GPS, but it continued to drift off-course losing it’s direction. Eventually, it took off on it’s own and eventually crashed (ruined the new drone) in the middle of a field that was occupied by some Highland cows (they didn’t like me retrieving the drone). The short of it is that even though we may think all is well and going in the right direction, you do run the risk of heading off course and losing sight of the people your serve. Leadership requires thoughtful intention to stay on target. It is so easy to vear off course and crash if you don’t practice self-reflection and reminding yourself that true north is more than just following your strategic map. It’s means that hitting the master reset or ctrl alt delete keys helps us reboot when necessary to remind us that it’s the people we lead and serve that matter. I believe leadership is about people and the individuals you serve. By keeping that at the forefront of your intentions as a leader, staying on course serves as a constant reminder on how to stay on target. https://lnkd.in/gepNA4rB https://lnkd.in/grZjZs6u

In 2024, digital philanthropy is transforming how we support the causes we care about. As a tech enthusiast and someone who wants to make a difference, I've seen how technology can connect our intentions with impact. Online platforms allow everyone to contribute to meaningful causes with a few clicks. However, with this ease comes a responsibility to ensure our donations truly make a difference. I'm passionate about strategic giving—aligning our donations with our personal values and ensuring the organizations we support are transparent, accountable, and effective. I often reflect on the causes that resonate with me and set measurable goals for my contributions. It's about the effectiveness of fund utilization. By using charity evaluators and embracing giving models like donor-advised funds, I feel more confident that my support is having the intended impact. How do you ensure your charitable giving aligns with your values and has a real-world impact? Share your strategies, or let's discuss how we can enhance our giving practices in 2024. Let's remember the importance of continuous learning and connecting with others who give. By staying informed and engaged, we can adapt our strategies and collaborate for a greater impact. Together, let's make 2024 a year of thoughtful, strategic philanthropy. Every contribution, big or small, has the power to change lives. #CharitableGiving #DigitalPhilanthropy #StrategicGiving #PhilanthropyNetwork #ImpactInvesting #MicroDonations #TechForGood

The crew at Lectric Ebikes in #Phoenix, #Arizona, have been designing and building some of the most affordable, functional #zeroemission vehicles on the planet for years now. This year, they partnered with Mr. Beast to donate $600,000 worth of e-bikes to people in need across the United States. The challenge with any philanthropic effort is finding the best way to put donor resources into the hands of people who can use them most effectively. Screenshot from Beast Philanthropy’s video linked below. To tackle this head-on, Mr Beast’s philanthropic arm, Beast Philanthropy, put out a call to its massive following, asking people to submit a video communicating their need. They received thousands of videos and filtered that down to 600 people on the internet. From that shortlist, the team at Beast Philanthropy opened the floodgates and the wave of donations started. Some of the #ebikes were delivered by hand while others were shipped directly to the recipients. So many of them posted video responses of them unboxing their bikes, riding them for the first time, or sharing how their new electric bikes would change their lives. It’s a powerful format that shows how singular actions like donating a bike — whether it be new, used, electric, or manual — can absolutely change people’s lives. It can be a simple act of paying for someone’s ticket on the bus or giving someone in need a ride to the store. Working through life one day at a time can sometimes be a slog, and this video was a great reminder to step out of our comfort zones to extend a helping hand whenever we’re able. We don’t often think about people in the #US as having the same level of need as what we hear about from other countries around the world. But as with any society, there are people at the fringes suffering everyday. They struggle to make ends meet whether it be to support their family here in the States or to send the money they earn to their family overseas. Mr. Beast shared a handful of the stories from the massive wave of e-bike donations in the video linked below. It’s a touching story that shows not only how massive corporations like Mr. Beast and Lectric Ebikes can make an impact (and are!), but also how people in each and every one of our communities across the nation and around the world are in need, and how every one of us can take a small step to make a positive impact in the lives of those around us. This particular initiative is especially touching because it not only transforms people’s lives, it puts zero-emission transportation solutions into their hands and enables them to get to school, to work, and to run errands around town with zero emissions in a low-cost, low maintenance electric vehicle that just happens to be a Lectric Ebike. 🔻🔻🔻 Click/tap image below to see video on YouTube 🔻🔻🔻

I help nonprofit leaders, fundraisers, and boards develop the skills and confidence they need to raise more money. #PowerUpYourFundraising
What #fundraising lesson can hummingbird watching teach us? On a recent episode of Shark Tank, a couple came to pitch their product, the HummViewer. It's a plastic mask that has three hummingbird feeders that you wear so you can get a literal bird's eye view of these tiny birds. It's a niche product with a very limited audience. But this couple was passionate about the idea and it was felt in their pitch. This could have easily been dismissed, but the Sharks one by one kindly thanked the couple and said that famous phrase, "I'm out." You could see the gradual disappointment on the inventor's face. Except there was one Shark left. He told the story about how his parents loved hummingbirds and when his dad passed away, he and his family saw a hummingbird fly in front of his parents' home one last time. So, every time he sees a hummingbird, he thinks of his father. He made an offer and the rest, as they say, is history. What's the #fundraising moral here? This couple pitched their idea to all of the Sharks. After all, the Sharks have money and they're looking to invest. But the one who really got hooked had a deep personal connection to this very specialized interest. He's the one who invested. So often #nonprofits believe that everyone could be a donor to their important cause because the organization exists. And with 1.5 million nonprofits in the U.S. there's way too much overlap and many, many niche missions. But if this Shark Tank pitch shows us anything (aside from how not to pitch), it's that the people who ultimately invest do so because they personally connect with the organization. Stop chasing after everyone who has money. Focus on the ones who align with what you do. They're the ones who will give at whatever amount they can. And once they become investors in your mission, ask them their story and their connection to your cause. What's their hummingbird moment? #nonprofits #charities #fundraisers #nonprofitmanagement #nonprofitleadership https://lnkd.in/giqrmrtn

i Film Heroes The Rescue Cat & Dog FilmMaker is the only 501(c)3 Non-Profit in the world that advocates for cats and dogs rescue by filming Movies of people in the Trenches - Social Impact Influencer
Watch this very important rescue movie and learn about the real world of dog rescues. Dan could volunteer at an animal shelter or a rescue, but his heart is out here, with the animals that are alone and afraid. The animals here depend on Dan's big heart, what money he has, and his energy. Who takes care of Dan? Who rescues the rescuer? He doesn't ask for anything for himself. I know that if he won the lottery tomorrow, every last dollar would go to dogs and people in need. True charity is selfless. Dan embodies that statement. The need is endless. Dan lives in that world. No one person can fix things. But, if each person does what they can, then things can get a little better for animals. I get so angry. I wish I could tell people "Stop dumping your dogs!" "Get your pets spayed and neutered!" "Build better shelters and open more sanctuaries!" If there were no more dogs dumped in quarries and fields, that would mend Dan's heart. Until then, I hope that more people will do what they can. I hope Dan gets a new van, more dog food, and his own basic needs met. What can I do to help heroes like Dan? It doesn't feel like much at all. It feels like one drop of water when what is needed is a storm. It's overwhelming and keeps me up at night sometimes. The heroes need help. Dan needs help. Please reach out to us if there is something that you can do. https://lnkd.in/ev72hq2X Please consider donating to iFilmHeroes.com. Your support means the world to us. Thank you for helping us continue our mission. #dogs #cats #animalrescue #Man #nonprofit #FilmMaker #people #USA
