💡 We have found lack of awareness when advising Junior Mining companies about share structures and the importance of ensuring longterm shareholder who believe in the investment thesis. Management and boards should beaware of how this affects investors and causes pain points to holding a security. A poor share structure can destroy the relationship between a quality asset and a shareholders ability and other investors ability to gain investment exposure to that asset. I very much agree with Jack Mayer, CIM, FCSI view in regards to knowing how your shares are being held. If you are not being paid for the right for someone to short, those who do are putting additional pressure on the share structure which can absolutely hurt the shareholders ability to gain on any creation of wealth for a project.
