I am going to break the number 1 Rule in Soup Club and talk about Soup Club….. What is this Soup Club?....I hear you ask…. Well, here at Rutherford Briant, a select few of us have been chosen (some of us opted in) to be part of a group where we take turns to create a Soup on a weekly basis for the group to enjoy. So far, we have enjoyed a Spiced Parsnip soup, created by Amanda Sainter and a Carrot and Coriander by Matthew Reed. Next week is my turn and I am planning on making a Tomato and Red Pepper Soup. So why am I talking about Soup Club?.... Basically, I wanted to look at the Soup Club Advantage when it comes to cultivating a positive work culture. In today's professional world, the significance of work culture cannot be overstated. A positive work culture not only contributes to employee satisfaction but also plays a pivotal role in fostering collaboration, creativity, and overall productivity. I personally feel that the establishment of the Soup Club (some people in the office may refer to it as a Soup Cult) is a unique and effective way to enhance workplace camaraderie and build a positive atmosphere. Even those of us not wishing to take part are entertained and invested in the weekly deliberations around consistency and vegetable to liquid ratios. Not only does Soup Club foster connection, promote team building and well-being….. it also means on a Monday I no longer have to think about what I am having for lunch. One less thing to think about for me! Win – win. But it also celebrates diversity as participants can share recipes from various cultural backgrounds, creating an inclusive environment that values and appreciates differences. So I suppose what I am suggesting is…… create yourself a Soup Club (other forms of culinary delights can also be used)! #soupclub #culture #healthandwellness #teambonding #teamculture
