Sheila is responsible for one of the most important components in a vehicle, seatbelts. Being involved in the Defender seat belt programme from the start, Sheila and the team faced challenges in functionality, comfort and safety. Sheila talks about the challenge of the D-loop and it’s placement, “I’ve been in this business a long time and I think we cater equally well for men and women.” We know that physical crash testing can be a nervous time for a safety engineer. Sheila’s work helps us achieve the top ratings for safety in our vehicles.
