You can find this sign in any building, park, museum, airport… But when did you last examine where “here” is in your daily life? It’s an important thing to do. Think about where “here” is for you today. Turn off the electronics. Put down what you are holding. Look around you. How do you FEEL about where you are? It may not look the way you thought it would. That’s to be expected, and it’s also okay. “Here” is likely on the way to “there” and we don’t know where “there” is yet. The important thing is to not get stuck. “Here” may be a compromise. “Here” may be a dead end. “Here” may be someone else’s expectation. No matter where “here” is for you today, don’t ignore it. Learn from it. Grow from it. Use what “here” is telling you today to help you craft a better tomorrow. #youarehere 

The Power of Purpose: Honest Talk with Aspiring Artists at #ArtAndPurpose Had the most incredible conversation on Thursday at the "Art and Purpose" webinar! It was such an inspiring space to connect with a group of talented young artists, but also a reality check. Let's be honest, chasing artistic dreams while navigating the professional world can be brutal. We spoke openly about the challenges – the fear of "selling out," the struggle to balance financial stability with creative freedom, and the constant hustle it takes to get your work out there. It resonated deeply with me, and I'm sure with many of you out there harboring artistic passions. Here's the thing, though: those challenges shouldn't extinguish your flame! The world NEEDS your art, your unique perspective, and your ability to make us feel and see differently. During the webinar, we explored ways to bridge the gap between artistic dreams and professional realities. We talked about finding creative outlets within "day jobs," the power of online communities, and the importance of building your network. Here's my key takeaway: Don't let the practicalities of life dim your artistic light. There's a way to have both! Keep creating, keep exploring, and keep believing in the power of your art.
