A lot of people often say that 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙄'𝙙 𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙥𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩, 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝘾𝙊2 𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙚𝙙, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙣 𝙖 𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙚. A point of view which isn't completely untrue insofar as public transport facilitates mass mobility. However, we need to distinguish car-sharing from public transport, whether it's collective public transport (public transport) or private public transport (taxis and VTCs). Public transport, particularly 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭, facilitates the mobility of a high proportion of the population at the same time, but it does not always offer users a certain level of comfort, nor does it always allow them to create a social link, as most of the time each user is sitting in their own seat waiting to arrive at their destination, nor does it allow them to choose their travel times. Car sharing, on the other hand, offers a number of advantages, such as : ✅ Flexibility of timetables ✅ The possibility of negotiating journey costs ✅ Comfort due to the number of seats available in a car and sometimes its make and standing ✅ The possibility of creating and consolidating social links by exchanging with other passengers Whatever the case, both means of transport are economical and, in their own way, help to reduce the carbon footprint of our environment. So use one or other of them whenever you want or need to.

Forward-thinking cities are rebranding #publictransit as the new #publicmobility! Norway is a success story in incentives where 90% of new cars are electric, but this has left the transit authority lagging in ridership. And while bike-sharing, carpooling and #micromobility services are well-integrated in places like Norway and France, neither transit authorities nor #mobilityservices alone can compete with the public’s reliance on private cars. By joining forces with mobility services transit authorities can create mobility networks with a diverse menu of options – a powerful travel alternative. The goal? To reduce urban congestion, cut, pollution and lessen dependence on private cars. The shift isn’t just about adding new services – it’s about integration and subsidies. These incentives can make shared mobility more appealing and accessible, helping motorists shift their habits away from private car use. This revolution requires collaboration between governments, municipalities, and private operators to create flexible transport alternatives that meet climate targets. 🤔 How can cities become more eco-friendly? Did you know that private cars are used in 45% of all trips? * Increased use of on-demand mobility services has the potential to reduce the need for private car ownership, which, for example, can lead to: - A decrease in traffic congestion. - Lower demand for parking spaces in urban areas. - Reduced emissions, contributing to a more climate-friendly city environment. Voyagerr solutions help public transport authorities and operators efficiently plan, manage, and integrate Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) services both for the wider public and for passengers eligible for public transportation. VNC LP#440 Green transportation is any means of travel that doesn’t negatively impact the environment. - It can be private (like a fast ebike), or public transit (like an electric city bus). Walking is also considered a green mode of travel. - The common denominator among green transportation everywhere is that it’s sustainable. Types of sustainable (green) vehicles: 1. All-electric vehicles 2. Hybrid vehicles 3. Electric bikes © architect24x7 #green transportation #sustainable #transportation

Norway serves as a perfect example of why electric vehicles are not the panacea to mobility's sustainability problem. Almost 90% of new cars sold now in Norway are electric. But this hasn't solved urban congestion, noise or accidents. It also poses a threat to public transport, which is stagnating as private electric car use rises. This prompts us to ask: how can nations stimulate mobility that aligns with the Paris Agreement? Now, as car-sharing and #micromobility operators strive for profitability, a new trend is emerging. Public transit authorities and municipalities are subsidising and integrating new mobility solutions into their offerings to reduce car reliance and create a powerful alternative to private cars. #SustainableMobility #SmartCities #PublicTransport

Great Britain plans to introduce an integrated transport system. 🤝🚙 Like many countries, the UK wants to reduce CO2 emissions and pollution from transport by 2050. Car users are already being encouraged to change their vehicle to an electric one, a scooter, an electric bicycle or public transport. However, to improve the functioning of the system, the authorities want to introduce an application that will enable checking available ecological means of transport from point A to point B. What do you think about this solution? 💬 #Advantech #WeEnable #smartcity #transportation

🌟 Embracing the Future: Electric Vehicles at Harmony Transportation Tours and Travel 🌟 As the world shifts towards sustainable practices, the advancement of electric motor cars stands out as a significant milestone in the transportation industry. At Harmony Transportation Tours and Travel, we recognize the urgent need to address pollution and are committed to adapting with the times. Electric cars present an incredible opportunity to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to a cleaner, greener Jamaica. I’m excited to see our nation making strides towards this change, with increased accessibility to charging stations and more dealerships offering electric vehicles. In light of these developments, I am exploring the inclusion of electric vehicles in our fleet. It’s encouraging to see new charging stations being built, yet I wonder about the future of the numerous gas stations still under construction. The shift towards electric is clear, prompting important questions about the longevity and adaptability of current investments in traditional fuel infrastructure. Food for thought, indeed. I am keen to partner with companies willing to test the durability and accessibility of electric vehicles in real-world conditions. If any organizations are interested in a collaborative effort, Harmony is open to test driving electric vehicles for a year. This will not only provide valuable insights but also pave the way for broader adoption of sustainable transportation solutions. Let’s drive towards a sustainable future together! #ElectricVehicles #SustainableTransportation #HarmonyTours #GreenFuture #CleanEnergy #ElectricCars #Jamaica

Owning a car was once a status symbol, a necessity and a bit of a hassle? Well, those days are slowly fading into the rearview mirror, thanks to the transportation revolution driven by technology, convenience and a growing desire for sustainable living. Shared mobility, in all its forms – ride-sharing and car-sharing, among others - is reshaping how we move around. Imagine being able to hail a ride with the tap of a button or renting a car by the hour instead of committing to a long-term lease! Shared mobility is also helping to address some of our most pressing urban challenges by cutting down on congestion, pollution and the need for sprawling infrastructure due to fewer cars on the road. As technology continues to evolve, we can expect shared mobility to become even more accessible and sustainable. #SharedMobility #RideSharing #CarSharing #SustainableTransport #UrbanMobility #SmartTransportation
