Still can't imagine why designers and installers are ok doing this. When water damage occurs in a residential or commercial space, a dehumidifier can be a valuable tool for restoring the affected area. By removing excess moisture from the air, a dehumidifier helps prevent the growth of mold and mildew. It also speeds up the drying process of wet materials, such as carpeting, drywall, and furniture.

Choosing the right underlayment is key to ensuring the longevity and performance of your flooring. The right underlayment helps with soundproofing, moisture control, and thermal insulation while providing a smooth surface for installation. Whether you're installing hardwood, laminate, or tile, selecting the appropriate underlayment can prevent issues like warping, cracking, and shifting. Always consult with a flooring expert to find the best match for your specific needs.

The craftsman used what is called "hybrid installation" for this wooden floor. What does it mean? For reasons of soundproofing, insulation and stability of the floor he first installed an underlay and then glued down the wood with the two-component glue Tovcol TP2C from Tover. This technique is used on low thickness radiant screeds, with irregular subfloors or when an existing floor must not be "ruined" with a direct application of glue. Have you ever worked this way? #woodenfloors #woodflooring #adhesive #glue #underlay #parquet #screeds #tover #italy #bepartofit

Floor screeds - what are the main types commonly used? ❇️ Traditional Screed: Also known as Sand and Cement Screed, this type comprises sharp sand, cement, and minimal water. Applying traditional screed involves spreading and levelling it with a straight edge to the desired height. After levelling, it's smoothed out using either hand or power tools to correct imperfections and achieve a smooth finish, ready for the final floor covering. ❇️ Liquid Screed: These are often called flowing screeds and are preferred for installations over underfloor heating systems due to their efficient heat transfer properties. Liquid screeds are gaining popularity over traditional ones because they can be applied to larger areas more quickly. The application involves using a liquid screed pump, followed by using a dapple bar to remove air bubbles and achieve a slightly smoother surface. ❇️ Self-Levelling Compounds: These compounds are commonly used to level uneven substrates for precise tolerance requirements in tile, carpet, and other flooring installations. They are mixed with water and can be pumped or poured into place. Once applied, the compound spreads out and levels itself. MS Polymer is a one part, modified silane based flexible wood flooring adhesive. It is suitable for sticking down any species of wooden flooring to almost any subfloor. When dry it has a high bond strength between the wooden floor and the subfloor but remains permanently flexible. This allows the flooring to move as the seasons change but it will not crack, and the floor will stay adhered to subfloor. If any adhesive is left on the surface of the wood it is easy to remove either wet or dry (following day) and no special chemicals are required. Larger pack size Ideal for Contractors on large installations Re-sealable packaging 12 Months shelf-life.#woodfloorinstallation #woodflooring #installation #woodfloors vivi@sdsealant.com www.sealant-cn.com www.sdsealant.com
