As the world is facing increasing risks of closure, fragmentation and exclusion, “to include” has been one of the challenge-words that this year has placed on the path of architecture, in its constant effort to interpret complex questions. The collective value of architectures, in this scenario, can be represented as powerfully by a public toilet as by CERN visitors’ center, by a sports facility conceived as an urban building as by the Serpentine Pavilion, or by various “friendly parasites” with the most diverse scales and materials possible. #arquitectura #resumen #2023 https://lnkd.in/d9JjA3Qi

🎉🏗️ This February, as we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we're taking a whimsical journey through the marvels of architecture that have unfolded over the last three decades. But, we're doing it with a twist! 🎶🎬 Imagine if the evolution of architecture could be encapsulated in a song or movie title. What would it be? 🤔🏛️ From the bold lines of modernism to the eco-conscious designs of today, we've witnessed a symphony of change. If you had to pick just one song or movie title that captures the essence, the innovation, and the spirit of these past 30 years in architecture, what would your choice be? 🌍🎵 Is it "A Whole New World" with the advent of sustainable designs? Or perhaps "The Shape of Water," reflecting the fluidity and adaptability of modern structures? 🌱💧 Join us in this creative quest! Drop your song or movie title in the comments below. Let's make a playlist and filmography that reflects our journey through the ever-evolving skyline of our world. 📽️🎶 #ArchitectureAnniversary #30YearsOfDesign #SongAndStructures #MovieMagicBuilds #DesignEvolutionPlaylist

Excited to start this year sharing the third episode of my latest project with all of you: "FUTURE". This series, entirely crafted by artificial intelligence using just a mobile phone, invites us to explore both dystopian and optimistic visions of the future in one-minute capsules. In the third episode, titled "Abandoned," it addresses the issue of recent architectural works that, regardless of their original purpose, quickly fall into disuse. The episode highlights the general trend of not considering a second life for buildings, leading to the creation of contemporary ruins. The narrative delves into the idea that these structures, not conceived with a long-term vision, become silent witnesses to irresponsible political and architectonical decisions. It goes beyond structures designed for world expos, cultural cityscapes, and Olympic pavilions, encompassing a wide range of projects. The storyline encourages reflection on the importance of integrating sustainability and adaptability into contemporary architectural design, emphasizing the need to rethink the approach to construction to avoid the proliferation of modern ruins. #future #architecture #sustainability #aiart

Did you know there's a whole science dedicated to how spaces affect your mind? Neuroarchitecture bridges the gap between neuroscience (how your brain works) and architecture (the design of buildings and spaces). It explores how our surroundings – from light and sound to color and texture – can influence our: 1. Mood & Focus: Ever feel sluggish in a dark room? Certain design elements can promote relaxation, concentration, and even creativity. 2. Stress Levels: Harsh lighting and clutter can trigger the fight-or-flight response. Neuroarchitecture aims to create calming environments that reduce stress and anxiety. 3. Learning & Memory: Strategic design can enhance focus and information processing, making learning and memory formation more efficient.
