When it comes to recruitment, quality is paramount. Our hiring managers expect it, our recruiters strive to achieve it, and our leadership team demands it. However, there seems to be a disconnect somewhere, and the root cause is evident. Three major constraints impact the quality of the final result in any project: Time - the duration available, Cost - the budget allocated, and Scope/Resources - the extent of work or available manpower. These constraints are all too familiar in recruitment, with time and cost metrics often taking precedence. But isn't it peculiar that the focus lies more on constraints than on outcomes in our industry? Shouldn't our emphasis be on the results rather than the limitations? Constraints are meant to guide us, not define the success of a project. Let's shift our perspective and prioritize quality over constraints. After all, success in recruitment should be measured by the excellence of the results achieved, not just by meeting predetermined parameters.
