We have used Project Esther, the world’s first HD haptics gaming cushion, powered by Razer Sensa HD Haptics, the most advanced haptics technology in the market, driven by Interhaptics technology, the leading software platform for creating and deploying interactive haptic applications. We have streamed a prototype racing game via InterDigital’s haptic and immersive video codecs, based on the #MPEG haptics standards, and played it back on #metaquest3, and #android devices, using Interhaptics SDK. The result was a stunning and immersive racing experience, where we felt every nuance of the game, from the acceleration to the cornering, from the engine to the tires, from the overtaking to the finish line. This is not just a game-changer for gaming, but for the whole spectrum of haptic applications, from entertainment to education, from health to wellness, from music to sports, and more.
