This last week I’ve been particularly greatful that I run my own business as I was stuck down with a horrible bug 😷 in my old corporate job I’d have been stressing that “I couldn’t possibly take a day off”! Whereas running my own business, I’ve felt relaxed enough to actually take the time off I’ve needed to get better.

I think you make some good points James Ker-Reid - I’d add to try and actually enjoy the journey through the highs and lows and if need be shape your business into one that is really enjoyable for you - it’s ok striving for great success, but some journeys can be a lot longer than others (especially for smaller SMEs), so I think generally it’s far better if you can enjoy the ride.
