A very interesting tool to assess the rise of the radical right in Europe. A similar tool could be useful in Canada too, comparing the provinces and more important, its rise at the Federal Level.

Another day, another seminar! 📚 Seminar series by the University of Cambridge, with the presence of Advocate General, CJEU (2006 - 2020) Eleanor Sharpston KC and professor Dr Markus Gehring about the importance of Treaty reforms in the EU in order for enlargement of the Union! 🇪🇺 ‘The 2023 Franco-German Proposal on Reforming and Enlarging the EU – A Conversation’ was the topic of the discussion. One thought I feel the need to share from this seminar about the political will for the enlargement and Treaty reforms: "The EU must open its windows and let the air in. And I find it refreshing". The three consider these, as well as others that fell farther down the list, and asked, how can these be prioritized? What is being done to stop them? And what is the broader value in engaging in these ranking exercises in the first place? Grievances for the Biden administration’s short-sighted new regulations on liquified natural gas, U.S. Middle East policy (does it make sense to anyone?), and the way our broken politics manages to infect even an all-American love story like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Can we just give it a rest?
