Just came across a fascinating video that showcases a groundbreaking development in 3D printing technology. An independent engineer has introduced the TIME system (True Independent Multiple Extrusion), a revolutionary approach that enables multiple tools to operate independently across all axes. This innovation opens up new possibilities, like printing with diverse materials in a single job or precisely adjusting an object’s weight or center of gravity. What captivates me isn't just the technology but the journey of creativity and problem-solving that brought this idea to life. From using a grill plate as a makeshift printer base to navigating through numerous engineering challenges, it's a testament to how passion and persistence can lead to groundbreaking innovations. I believe sharing and discussing cutting-edge developments like this not only fuels our collective imagination but also pushes the boundaries of what's possible in our fields. How do you see this impacting the future of 3D printing and design? How else could this concept be explored? #3DPrinting #Innovation #Engineering #FutureTech https://lnkd.in/eUBUh_sk

What is curious about 3d printing industry is that it is still looking for new design solutions for 3d printers. There is always something that you can improve or change, especially in 3D printing machines. Below, you can find a 6-axis 3D printer. This market is already quite old, but nobody has built this type of 3d printer as you can see in this video.

Just printed 0.1 mm thick surface on a powder based 3d printer! It’s amazing how this revolutionary technology is changing what was once considered impossible or required extensive post-processing. Although not perfect, a little modification on geometry can make it much better. #3DPrinting, #AutodeskTechnologyCenter, #SLS and #Technology.

It's incredible how a small team of just three engineers can revolutionize an entire industry! Decreasing the cost of SLS 3D printing and make it accessible to everyone is a game-changer. The auger-based powder transfer system is a fascinating innovation in SLS. It would be great to see more demonstrations showcasing its functionality in real-world printing applications. I really want to know more about the temperature management, how you preheat the powder before printing and the powder refresh rate with this design. Luke Boppart, If you're open to it, I'd love to chat about the design and explore some ideas together. Perhaps my knowledge of powder handling and temperature management could be helpful in optimizing the system. https://lnkd.in/dg__PdgM

Additive manufacturing has opened up a world of possibilities for VerdeTerra, allowing for rapid prototyping, intricate mold development, and, ultimately, the realization of products that were once mere concepts. As the technology evolves and costs decrease, I envision a future dominated by micro-manufacturing operations. Imagine small businesses equipped with a single machine capable of crafting anything from metal, plastic, electronics, and even concrete – a future where creating complex end-use products is as simple as walking in with a product license and watching your purchase come to life. Imagine the impact that could have on logistic carbon emissions. Currently, I'm fine-tuning our Ender5 and Bambu machines for prototype testing and mold development for our next big release. It has certainly been a learning process with these machines. How do you see additive manufacturing impacting your industry or creativity? Let's discuss the future of creation. #AdditiveManufacturing #3DPrinting #Innovation #VerdeTerra
