Slap a training on it? Nope. First determine if all of the environmental factors are in place to drive performance - do your teams have processes documented and resources available, do they have expectations laid out, do they have a strong coaching and feedback program with incentives to support them? Then, look at training to develop skills and desired behaviors. For other stakeholders, rely on your enablement program leaders to properly vet the outcomes and, then, determine the best way to make it happen.

Certifying 6+ people from one organization all at once provides a unique opportunity to embed that specific tool within the culture. Here’s how to do it and why it will help you if you’re a learning & development leader: 1. You have conversations about how to use the tool at your specific organization We're not talking about just in general, as humans walking the planet, the conversation is really about how the tool will work specifically in your environment. 2. You can include aspects of the system in the certification What I mean by this is we can talk about how this is used on the group level and understand the norms of our company. And so you can do so much group level cultural level work that you otherwise could not. 3. You can practice with people you know A certification always has to include practice giving and receiving some feedback. If you have people from the same system, the conversation can go more deeply more quickly. If you’re looking to have your full team working with the same assessment tool and want to train as a group, send me a direct message, and I’m happy to have a conversation.

🏞️ Only 20% of managers agree that their organisation helps them to be successful people managers. Becoming an effective manager is a journey, but it's not one your managers have to take alone. https://lnkd.in/dAfHz5ym -Badge Issued: August 29, 2024 -Badge Achievement: This badge holder can explain how coaching and mentoring form an essential part of modern Technical Training Programs and understands the benefits provided to technical personnel, team leaders, managers, and the organization as a whole. They can outline various coaching and mentoring models and how they can be implemented and optimally managed in their environment. -While I was doing this badge called - Coaching and Mentoring for Technical Specialists, it felt like a great refresher to the IT courses I took in high school. In high school in 10th grade, I took this IT Project Management class, where you learn about soft-skills, how to handle a project in the IT industry, and how to approach clients and so forth. In the course, thought, I learn even more about mentorship and coaching (the difference between the two) and so forth. The detailed work-force scenarios that were presented to me, where I had to pick the best resolution, really made me understood how the industry works and how companies work in general. Overall, it was nice to have this coaching/mentoring info refresh in my brain. =)
Interskill - Coaching and Mentoring for Technical Specialists was issued by Interskill to Sri Tikkisetti.
