We all get into HR for different reasons. The common thread I hear is that HR professionals just want to help people be successful. My 'why' has always been to create organizations that support both team members and the company simultaneously, not with an 'either/or' approach but with a 'yes, and' mindset. When we grow and develop our team members, everyone benefits. When we create spaces that are equitable and inclusive, we all win.

I love that, Jamy! My "why" has always been to break the stereotype of HR by bringing "heart" into each business I impact. I think it boils down to something similar to your why - I have a fundamental belief that organizations are FAR more likely to achieve successes when the people relationships are prioritized and well-nurtured.

Great question. I would love to live in a world where we can all joyfully work, grow and progress in our service to each other. I don’t think there’s a reason why it shouldn’t be that way.
