I have been working from home for the past 14 years, and during this time, I have experimented with different desk setups, ranging from a single laptop screen to four displays. However, one thing that has remained constant is that having multiple displays has helped me stay organized and work more efficiently, leading to increased productivity.
While it is possible to suffer from information overload with too much going on, a well-planned multi-monitor workspace will save a lot of time that is often wasted by clicking around to find the right window or constantly switching back and forth.
With my monitors optimized for success, my only remaining productivity-Achilles heel is that I have 73 Chrome tabs open right now, and no amount of monitor real estate can fix that problem!
We’ve made it our mission to make it easy to stay productive through enhanced connectivity, like extra screens. Our CEO, Lynn, has primarily given an extra screen to her “strategic files” (you know, secret CEO stuff). That extra screen real estate allows her to change it up when needed for tasks like AI, checking her calendar, or monitoring her front porch camera while waiting for top-secret Plugable products without affecting her meeting screen or apps in use.
What would you give a screen to?
