Hello everyone! I am continuing to raise money for EndoFound as I train for the NYC Marathon, and I would be so grateful for donations of any amount. Bonus if your company offers donation matching ☺️ The Endometriosis Foundation of America is a non-profit organization that strives to increase disease recognition, provide advocacy, facilitate expert surgical training, and fund landmark endometriosis research. Without their efforts, it may have taken me longer to discover the signs and symptoms of endometriosis, which lead to my own diagnosis almost 3 years ago. Endometriosis is very common, with about 1 in 10 women experiencing this disease (200 million women worldwide). It is in the top 20 most painful conditions. There is, on average, a 7-10 year delay in diagnosis, and is one of the leading causes of infertility. Endo is often found in the pelvic cavity but has also been found in the kidneys, lungs, diaphragm, and brain. It can cause a wide range of symptoms and is considered a whole-body disease that can greatly reduce quality of life in those who have it. We need more research and advocacy for endometriosis so we can reduce the amount of time it takes to diagnose and treat it. Please consider donating to be part of this change! Anything helps!

This year, we’ve made significant strides in advancing neonatal encephalopathy research, providing critical resources for families affected by pregnancy and infant loss, and building a community of compassion and hope. Here are just a few of our accomplishments: We launched our Foundation in September and began our fundraising efforts to achieve our critical mission. Established a partnership to help drive our research initiatives with the Child Health Institute of New Jersey We’ve begun our work to provide support and resources to families navigating the devastating challenges of neonatal encephalopathy and infant loss. We hosted our first Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, a powerful event to honor the precious lives we’ve lost too soon. As we look ahead to 2024, we have big plans to deepen our impact: Launching our research efforts to discover new treatments and prevention strategies. Offering even more support and education to families and future doctors through workshops, resources, and community-building events. Engaging our supporters with new fundraising initiatives, including our 5K/10K Walk/Run and more ways to get involved and make a difference, while raising awareness for our cause.
