NHS Professionals - Care Managers Learning Disabilities
Picture this: a young person with a complex rare disease, who has ID and LD, and other associated phenotypes and expressions to include DYSPHAGIA, is forced to swallow tablets - when they can’t…for obvious reasons, like choking to death.
What does Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust do, well, they IGNORE the specialist SaLT and Dysphagia Plan, ignore the young person, ignore that they are choking, struggling to breathe and in significant distress, and tell them to swallow anyway, even ignoring the expert professional and parent.
They investigate and determine that they were negligent and staff will receiving training on dysphagia.
It’s not like dysphagia is a new condition, or phenotype, especially since the young person - has had it since birth!
What do these useless abhorrent professionals say…. ‘Sorry for the distress, we will learn and offer dysphagia training to staff, then in the same breath, blame another department, as they ran out of the (liquid) medication due to a national NHS shortage of medication.’
The medication…. ADHD medication, given to the young person, who does not have ADHD at all, yet is told in order to have a good life, it’s best to ingest mind altering drugs, if not, life is hard.
“We will learn from our mistakes” - and this is why people die within (Mental Health Services) - because some clinicians are useless, dictators, who are nothing more than empty gas sacks of egotistical narcissism.
