Sustainable aviation fuel is a key component in the aviation industry's path to decarbonization. Airbus and other aerospace companies are leading the charge, with Airbus integrating over 11 million litres of SAF in its operations in 2023, reducing carbon emissions significantly. The industry aims to increase SAF production to 17.5 billion litres by 2030. This week, David Banmiller is joined by Andrew Symes, founder and CEO of OXCCU TECH LTD. In the case of #bluehydrogen, emissions can come from #upstream natural #gas production, transportation, reforming and energy use. The bulk of the carbon dioxide emissions are produced in the reformer, which splits hydrogen out of hydrocarbons. In principle, almost all these emissions can be captured and stored.
