More than 6,000 Rare Diseases have been identified. See below for how OM1 can help. AI has the power to fill in gaps to identify patterns in databases. This core process can be used to identify mis- or underdiagnosed rare disease patients faster, shortening the time to diagnosis. Identifying patients in real-world data contexts can be difficult, especially when clinical coding is imprecise or unavailable. With OM1 PhenOM™, alongside our Real-World Data Cloud, OM1 can provide powerful solutions to rare disease challenges. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝘂𝗲𝘀! In an era brimming with advanced technologies and innovative approaches, it’s surprising that our healthcare system still clings to outdated, reactive methods focused solely on patient care after diagnosis. We need to shift to efficient predictive and preventive strategies, leveraging powerful tools like genomics and AI for risk identification and early diagnosis. Every day I encourage my colleagues to share the posts that we put out into the world; the events, the stories, the news. I tell them that you don't have to say "big things" every time you post. But do show up, as you are, with your thoughts and reasoning why you'd recommend something or are interested in it. So of course, I'm going ignore my own advice and go with the big thing as a #WeeklyWin. When I started 4.5 months ago, I was warned that my mind was about to be seriously expanded on what can and will be possible because of the innovation we support at Cambridge Enterprise. They were right, and in ways I hadn't expected. Having lost my little brother 18 months ago to a rare cancer that formed because of his neurofibromatosis, and having a mother who lives the condition every day, I only wish that Healx's incredible work on this and other rare diseases could have been possible before. So, I'm sharing this event, knowing that the way in which treatments are changing could have had an effect on my life, and I hope will have a better effect on others. Join in the conversation, learn more about what could be possible, and expand your knowledge. You never know who it could help next. #AI #Healthcare #FutureOfHealthcare #Innovation #ShowUp
Join us next week for the first Think-In: Unleashing AI-powered treatments for rare diseases 🧬 🗓️ 18 April, 2 PM (UK time) / 9 AM (EST) 🔗 Register your place: https://lu.ma/2azcgw2d In this new series of online events, hosted by Founders at the University of Cambridge, you’ll get the inside-track on the latest tech trends emerging from the University of Cambridge. 💡For our first event, join Dr. Tim Guilliams, co-founder and CEO of Healx.ai. Working from the forefront of ground breaking research, he’ll share invaluable knowledge about leveraging artificial intelligence to combat rare diseases. There will also be plenty of opportunity for you to ask him your questions. Whether you’re curious about AI, rare diseases, or the future of healthcare, this is your chance to engage directly with an industry visionary, expand your knowledge, connect with fellow tech enthusiasts, and be part of the transformative dialogue. 🌐👥 See you there! #AI #FutureOfHealthcare #RareDiseases #Innovation #Event #Founders Cambridge Enterprise, Gerard Grech, Anne Dobrée, Mark Lazar
