IT Recruiter @ BlueBix LLP | LinkedIn, Dice, and Monster Recruiter, Contract Recruitment | abheeshta.namdeo@bluebixinc.com (official)
😶 At the start of the day, there were 75+ messages from the candidates. So I connected with them, but only 2 of those turned out to be ready for the onsite project. But the remaining people are sitting idle, some have been sitting idle for a year. But are not ready for onsite projects. So screened them for some remote position. In the end, they were not technically sound. That is the major reason for not being present for onsite roles, as those people knew already how much they knew about their technologies. So, I'd like to ask all of my 1st & 2nd connections, if you are also having the same thing, so just giving you a piece of advice be prepare yourself for onsite roles and update your technological gaps as soon as possible. Because I don't think we should rely on getting COVID benefits for remote positions as we had back in 2020... Things you can do: 1). Upskill your technological exposure with maximum proficiency. 2). Get your certificates updated. 3). Change your technology (if required), change domains do something you are more comfortable learning. ***Suggest yourself, I have to call these remaining 56...

CEO at Cider Consulting | Developing and driving operational efficiency in the systems you are afraid to build by using custom software & digital applications
Why would I limit myself to my zip code? Back in 2009, when I chose to employ the Remote-First approach as the future of my business, I was not aware of a single book on the subject but I really believed in it. Most people who don’t believe in the Remote-First workforce, are worried about losing control. As a recovering perfectionist, I continue to work hard and strive to stay away from that mentality. My thought process was that it would create more focus, as discussed in a previous post (link in comment), and provide a much larger pool of potential talent worldwide. In my efforts to build and sustainably scale Cider Consulting in a long-lasting way, I need more than just people who can make a reasonable drive to the office. That does not mean there are not enough incredibly smart and talented potential employees in my zip code. There are many very capable people but not nearly enough and most of them are working for other companies. My chances of attracting the best talent in my area are next to zero. I need developers, project managers, business analysts, and solution architects, just to list a few of the experts needed for Cider’s operations. Despite being smart and offering generous compensation, I can never attract enough good talent locally. That makes Remote-First a reasonable solution for Cider Consulting. We also managed to create a diverse workforce of highly educated and sophisticated employees who make working together feel like a trip around the world. Remote-First all the way. How about you? Follow #CiderConsulting for insightful content on systems, software, and business. #Software #Technology

Top 5 reasons why selecting globally talented and sourced software engineers is the number one reason you will receive unmatched ROI and infrastructure stability. Diverse Skill Set: Choosing globally talented software engineers brings a diverse range of skills and perspectives to the table. A team with members from different parts of the world likely has exposure to various technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices. This diversity fosters a rich and innovative environment, ensuring that your project benefits from a well-rounded skill set. Around-the-Clock Development: A globally distributed team allows for 24/7 development cycles. As one part of the team wraps up their workday, another team in a different time zone can seamlessly continue the progress. This not only accelerates the development process but also ensures that urgent issues can be addressed promptly, leading to faster project delivery and responsiveness. Cultural Adaptability: Working with a global team enhances cultural adaptability. Software engineers from different backgrounds bring unique perspectives, fostering creativity and flexibility in problem-solving. This adaptability is particularly valuable when developing software for a diverse user base, ensuring that the final product is inclusive and meets the needs of a global audience. Cost Efficiency: Leveraging global talent can often be more cost-effective than relying solely on local resources. Access to skilled engineers from regions with lower living costs allows you to optimize your budget without compromising on the quality of work. This cost efficiency can be a significant advantage, especially for startups or businesses operating on tight budgets. Broad Network and Collaborative Environment: A globally talented team provides access to a broad network of professionals. Engineers from different countries may have connections to experts in various domains, enabling your team to tap into a vast pool of knowledge and resources. This collaborative environment fosters continuous learning and ensures that your software development team stays at the forefront of industry trends and advancements. In summary, selecting globally talented software engineers offers a strategic advantage by providing a diverse skill set, enabling around-the-clock development, enhancing cultural adaptability, offering cost efficiency, and fostering a collaborative and well-connected environment.
