Google has just updated how spam complaints are interpreted in the Google Postmaster Tool, making it easier to check if newsletters comply with sender policies. Currently, the spam complaint rate must stay below 0.3%, meaning only 3 out of 1,000 recipients should mark your emails as spam. The new graph shows two lines: yellow for the recommended threshold and red for policy violation. Everyone now must ensure that the spam rate stays below the red line. Thank you Top Deliverability for bringing this update to my attention yesterday! #GooglePostmaster #Gmail #EmailDeliverability #Spam #EmailMarketing #Newsletters #GoogleYahoo #Abuse #Postmaster

Are your emails getting lost in the sea of spam? Google's latest update is here to change the game. Starting just a few weeks back in April, Google has been cracking down on unwanted mass email blasts to ensure users see more of what they want- and less of what they don't. 🚫 Bulk senders are now facing higher message rejection rates unless they are following the new Gmail guidelines. Plus, there's a push towards easier unsubscribe options in all commercial messages by June 1. ✉️ Remember, these changes impact emails to personal Gmail accounts from senders pushing out at least 5,000 messages a day. 📊 Confused? Don't worry. The Janice Christopher Marketing Agency is on top of it! We're here to ensure your emails not only comply with these new standards, but also stand out in the right inbox. How to track open rate without landing on spam? Have you ever noticed that emails with links often end up in spam? The image I’ve attached shows what happens when you include any links in your email. This is because Google uses an invisible pixel to track opens. When your prospect opens the email, the pixel reports it as “opened.” However, recent updates have made these pixels more likely to trigger spam filters. That makes your emails to land in your prospect’s spam folder. So, what can you do? Option 1: Stop using open tracking – but this leaves you without data. Option 2: Use ReachInbox’s new feature! They’ve developed a solution that allows you to track opens without landing in spam, even when using tracking pixels. —— If you found this helpful, share it with someone who could benefit! #opentracking #coldemail #reachinbox
