I had the opportunity of both having the free time and the frequent necessity to read upon Domain Driven Design by Eric Evans; a wonderful read. Definitely recommend delving into the book as it clearly states how it is more of a process and some suggested guidelines within designing the domain layer itself, true that it contemplates how other layers should communicate with the core ( domain ) layer, but very abstractly and very roughly unlike how you might find online articles and videos describing it to be, as in heavily focused with the over all system architecture and dependency inversion between layers, which is not the case.

Finding boundaries is harder than naming things False cognates can share naturally the same name for your domain experts. Discovering that a concept is in fact several different ones with the same name can take weeks So noone can define the right architecture at the first shot

Quite an interesting course for anyone that is into system architecture and design. It has given me insights on several best industry practices as well as well defined steps to building robust systems.

Spent some time with a few members of the team discussing various approaches and preferences to tackling coupling in Software Architecture An interesting resource that I shared with them is this chapter from the O'Reilly published book 'Building Evolutionary Architectures' by Neal Ford, Rebecca Parsons and Patrick Kia. It's a good read with some great diagrams (as is the rest of the book!). If you're not already talking about it I can recommend this as a good starting point for asking your team how they feel about coupling and how the systems you're working on approach it. https://lnkd.in/edU7bCvR
